What is an animal that you really want but you're not sure is making it?

My personal hopes are that we will get some more specific dlc in the future, which would hone in on one region/culturegroup and flesh them out nicely.
Personally, I'm hoping for the opposite - the broader the better. Once North America and Europe/Eurasia get their turn I think it's best to move on to DLC covering broad, globe-spanning themes (whether related to biome or conservation status or whatever) that could include as many animals from around the world as possible, rather than doubling down on regional specificity.

Simliar thoughts about this as well. Imo if you are going with continent packs, at least address all of them once.

But after that just random themes with animals from around the world in 1 pack. If it's biome or conservation I wouldn't mind.

Same post. Probably (99%) fake and should be. Imagine running PZ in Tuesday only to see 4 damn dromadery camel signs without actuall animal in game lmao.

II wouldn't completely ignore that or say that's a reliable leak. In recent years a lot of leaks are false but 5-10 years ago they were a lot more reliable.
It's something to think about.

I understand that way of thinking, but i just rather have some more fleshed out regions after we get finished with the "base raster" of the game, instead of just a bit here and there.
One of my main complains about the base game (and in someways also the dlcs) animal raster was, that it just was not a good base raster for a zoo game. Africa was great, even if there were only little exhibit animals, Asia was okay, we got most of the big hitters, but allmost none species that wernt "spotlight" animals. From the top of my head only the bactrian camel, red panda, peacock, pangolin and maybe the japanese macaque come to mind as animals, that would be "just another exhibit" and not a 5 star popular animal, and even here im stretching. Luckily the SEA dlc mostly fixed that problem. America had just pitifull 4 habitat animals, europe had 2, south america 2, but a good amount of exhibits and australia none.
Then the first dlc came and whatever your opinion is on the animals, they nicely supplemented the American raster (and european raster lol) and gave us both a big star animal and 2-3 more general animals, that you would see in the zoo but wouldnt lose your about.
Same thing for southamerica, but here notably it was a bit worse, as the base game raster had only 2 more animals and just now after the aquatic pack was boosted up to an atleast okay number. Australia had even less to work with, making it one of the best dlcs animal wise, but at the same time being severly limited by the lack of anything else besides 2 exhibits in the basegame. Aquatic started fixing the problem and patching up the holes in both the arctic and south america dlc and SEA patched up the missing asian filler creatures.
When the NA and Europe pack will come around, depending on how the animal picks there will be atleast 9 european and 13 northamerican animals in the game.
At that point the only continent in dire need for more would be oceania and the basegame problems of the raster would mostly be "fixed".

As we wont "need" anything anymore at this point to make the game fill complete the dlcs could literally be what ever and i hope they will keep adding more "filler" animals to supplement what we allready have in regional packs to represent the local fauna of a specific region (and i really mean region, no continents anymore but choosing some ecosystems to fill out, the best would obviously be some that are allready some what represented in the basegame, for example we have the apex predators of the Himalaya but no prey species or even herbivores besides the red panda) instead of just some big packs with allstar animals.

But thats just my opinion and everyone their own, we just have to see what frontier will actually do once they are finished filling in the obvious blanks

So this is ,,rubbish,, rhino statue. Looks interesting, not gonna lie.

Yes, from 4Chan. Surprisingly no one mentioned anything about it before. It went completely unnoticed.
Today many things got confirmed. I wouldnt ignore that leak since now.

oof I hope that leak isn't real. A NA without a moose or cougar would suck ngl
I'm a bit disappointed as well. Definitely did not want a 4 + 1 just after getting a 4 + 1. Not really fair to us animal lovers. I definitely really wanted the sea lion and alligator, but there are a lot of other NA animals I would've pick over the beaver and otter. Just feels unnecessary. Wouldn't be as big a deal, except we aren't getting a mountain lion, moose/elk or anything super unique like a raccoon or coati. Another dropped ball, if true :/

Bunch of birds in december probably. I think this why next pack is also 4+1(it was obvious pack with such hard animal to make like sea lion is going to be 4+1). December pack require more work.

I doubt that it is because of the aquatic animals being particulary hard to make. I could imagine a rhytm of 1 7+1, then 2 4+1 and then 1 7+1 again to be a smart buissness move from frontiers part to satisfy everyone

It really is strange. I mean, they are all good choices, but not at the expense of much more popular ones. The sea lion can stay, but the moose should replace the otter, the cougar should replace beaver, and I'd honestly take a wolverine over ANOTHER crocodilian. If anything it should be an animal pack, of all the new themes the bayou one sounds the least interesting.

I also expected an animal pack next. But this leak might be fake.
Also I am surprised people do not like the beaver? Like its very unique to anything we have in game and a rodent. People would really rather like another crocodillian or another cat instead? Which will frankly behave the same as current crocodiles or cats with a new enrichment animations here and there.

Surprised here.

In parts i agree, but honestly i dont mind the bayou theme, its unexpected and sounds like it could be very interesting. Overall an floridan swamp themed pack sounds like it could be great, but as stated above i would choose diffent animals.
Btw guys maybe we should open a new thread or something because we are pushing this thread oftopic

In isolation i agree with you, the beaver would be a far better addition then the alligator BUT if they are really going with a bayou theme then the alligator feels like a must pick

I would be a bit disappointed if the leak ist true but until now I am not really convinced that it is true. In fact I could live with these 4 animals but within an animal only pack. The 4 + moose + cougar + porcupine + exhibit.
