What is an animal that you really want but you're not sure is making it?

I think he's referring to the animals of the Africa pack datamined in the SEA update, however it's not sure that we will have some "Devs leftovers" in this update too. Frontier must have learnt the lesson.

That's what I thought but he referred to "props and plants" and then "we will know the truth in 2 days" as though the Africa Pack hasn't been revealed yet...confusing.

No, I am reffering to this:

Same post. Probably (99%) fake and should be. Imagine running PZ in Tuesday only to see 4 damn dromadery camel signs without actuall animal in game lmao.
Tbh that "pack" sounds like a bullet to the knee.
I doubt that an northamerica pack would double down as a secound aquatic pack, especally when the moose and cougar are that popular choices.
Overall that pack seems way to much all eggs in one basket, especally compared to the variety the other 4+1 packs had

I love all the selections in that pack but I wouldn’t trade the moose cougar wolverine musk ox or arctic fox for a purely aquatic NA pack

the bayou theme gator and otter hit close to home for me as a FL native tho

Dont get me wrong, in isolation i like all 4 choices and the bayou theme also sounds fun, but it feels wrong to have them all in the same pack with nothing else.
If anything i would like that they double down on the florida swamp theme with gators, (floridan) cougars, manatees and maybe white tailed deer or something, for some more diverse swamps

Oof you’re speaking my language lol

Florida alone is consideraly 'niche'. Plus, I'd rather get the generic North American cougar than just the Florida panther (way more versatile).

As to that leak, for me at least I could skip the beaver and the otter. The NA river otter isn't the one for me, and beavers aren't hugely widespread, but I'd make great use out of the sea lion and alligator (in saying that, if that was the only river otter they gave us, then fine).

I would personally love such pack for the CA sea lion and the beaver, however it is weird to me they would skip a moose and coughar, both heavily requested, unless there will be either some kind of boreal pack or something. But its probably just fake, though the first part with the African pack probs looks convincing so....Hard to tell.

I agree that the African pack description looks convincingly detailed.

The pieces and foliage described in the NA aquatic pack sound plausible and I wouldn’t mind those species even if I find the theme surprising.

Moose (elk) could be part of a European or Eurasian pack and the puma could be a mountain pack, even a second South America pack. I think it’s a likely animal to get and there are a few themes it could fit into.

I think and hope that NA aquatic pack is false. It's almost the same than the aquatic pack with 3/4 animals being too similar to the seal, caiman and giant otter. And what would be the exhibit? Another terrapin? That would be the worst possible scenario for a NA pack.

Probably the snapping turtle?

I definitely agree the pack is a bit too niche but I love all the selections in it. Just probably not together... cause we’d be missing out on a ton of terrestrial animals from NA

Me and the boys waiting for the Australian Aquatic Pack with the Freshwater Crocodile, Australian Pelican, Platypus, Australian Sealion and Tasmanian Giant Freshwater Crayfish ;)

My personal hopes are that we will get some more specific dlc in the future, which would hone in on one region/culturegroup and flesh them out nicely.
In the best case these would be no standalone regions, but suplementary to what we allready have in the game, example would be a pack surrounding the floridan swamps, an island/madagascar/oceania pack (i feel like the best way to tackle it would be one animal from neuginea, one or two from newzealand, one or two from tasmania, maybe something like a monitor from neuginea, kiwi and turako from new zealand and tasmanian devil and a wallaby from tasmania with a building theme around moa culture), a pack that concentrates into some specific region in southamerica or asia, like an Himalaya or Andeen pack and so on and so fourth.
The problem with the first row of dlc was, that most of them wernt suplementory, but had to carry the burden of being the only representation from that continent.
Now we just need to hope that when they have rounded up all continents we will get more supplements instead of "should have been basegame" animals.
