What is your selfish DLC idea?

I actually thought up a pack that'd fit the description of a "selfish DLC" recently, so this thread is pretty well timed! Basically going to complete the holy triad of Australia/Oceania scenery packs - the Australia Pack acted as an introduction to the region, the Oceania Pack expanded upon the lush coastal regions, so why not return to the arid interior for one last pack? After all, we have an entire Desert Oceania map and yet only three habitat animals from Australia's deserts. This pack also serves to hit every one of my remaining essential habitat animals for Australia, namely an echidna, bilby, rock-wallaby and monitor lizard (tree kangaroo is still needed for wider Oceania).

Outback Pack
1. Short-beaked Echidna, Tachyglossus aculeatus (Tropical, Temperate, Grassland, Desert)

2. Greater Bilby, Macrotis lagotis (Grassland, Desert) [Headliner]

3. Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby, Petrogale xanthopus (Grassland, Desert)

4. Perentie, Varanus giganteus (Desert)

5. Inland Taipan, Oxyuranus microlepidotus (Desert) [E]

Outback Theme - An expansion of the Australia theme but with more widely useable and versatile pieces. A lot of them are still rustic, rural and upcycling themed, but the pack also includes some scenery inspired by the Alice Springs Desert Park

New Plants - Probably the main reason this is a scenery pack over an animal pack, I just want as many plants as possible!:
1. Mulga, Acacia aneura (Grassland, Desert) [Free update]

2. River Red Gum, Eucalyptus camaldulensis (Tropical, Temperate, Grassland, Desert) [Free update]

3. Desert Grass Tree, Xanthorrhoea thorntonii (Desert)

4. Boab, Adansonia gregorii (Grassland)

(Although we already have a generic baobab in the game with the Oceania tag, it does not bare much of a resemblance to the iconic boab of the Kimberley. The boab also appeared in concept art for the Australia Pack, so Frontier may have had it in mind at one point)

5. Desert Oak, Allocasuarina decaisneana (Desert)

(May be in the background of the same concept art as the boab, also my favourite tree!)

6. Sturt’s Desert Pea, Swainsona formosa (Grassland, Desert)

New enrichment item:
Wallaby Climbing Cliff - Similar in function to the goat climbing mountain from the Europe Pack, allows the yellow-footed rock-wallaby to realistically bound across a steep slope via an enrichment animation

Soundtrack - Just for fun! Keeping with the trend of recent scenery packs theming each track around a particular animal, with the echidna being left out in this instance due to already having its own track in the base game:
Taipan - The Moon Plain
Rock-wallaby - Rhythm of the Ranges
Bilby - Twisting Burrows
Perentie - King of the Dunes
Wow good work putting this together! Seems like you literally have the whole pack put together

Small Mammals Animal Pack:
  • Habitat animals
    • Matschie's tree kangaroo (key art)
    • North American river otter
    • Ringtail
    • Kinkajou
    • Cloud rat
    • Black-footed ferret
    • Southern tamandua
  • Exhibit animal
    • Slow Loris
  • Enrichment items
    • Generic/"null" and running stream/river slides
      • Usable by otters, some penguins, and some pinniped
    • Hanging treats
      • Usable by kinkajou, cloud rat, binturong, and tamandua
    • Hanging nests
      • Usable by most climbing small mammals
I know the tree kangaroo is highly-requested so that particular species isn't selfish but... The pack as a whole? Definitely a "small mammal lovers only" kinda dealie.
I love it!

New World animal pack, because I just cannot build any realistic SA sections in my zoos at the moment, there simply is not enough "filler" animals and monkeys.

1. South American Coati
2. Roseate Spoonbill
3. Southern Tamandua
4. Collared Peccary
5. Patagonian Mara
6. Squirrel Monkey
7. Howler Monkey
8. Emerald Tree Boa

Free update would include California Palm Trees.

Raccoon Dog love <3 What happened to your bush dog? Not complaining, I prefer the Tanuki.
I was always raccoon dog first, bush dog second. I like bush dogs because they're un-wolf-like and would actually be a unique canine, but I still prefer the raccoon dog even if it is much like the foxes.
Hamadryas Baboon
Oh damn it I forgot about my baboon!

Selfish dlc idea I guess it would be…of course anything flying birds very essential but I’ll mainly focus on habitat animals as a lot of these I feel are essential.
1) Pelican
2) Pallas Cat or any small cat
3) Black Howler Monkey
4) Tamarin
5) American Black Bear I chose these over Andean bears because of the color variations and climbing abilities although I also want the Andean.
6) Coati
7) Blackbuck
8) WTE Hummingbird
And just for the heck of it for a anniversary gift

I love this as a topic idea! Here would be my dream selfish dlc pack:

Right Whale’s Avian Expansion Pack. It would contain over 16 slots and many species, but many of them are double up of animals in the pack. I imagine outside of sounds they make, many of the birds I double up are going to act rather similarly.

  1. Grey Crowned Crane, Brolga, and Sandhill Crane
  2. Southern Ground Hornbill
  3. American Flamingo
  4. Burrowing Owl
  5. Golden Pheasant, and Himalayan Monal
  6. Western Capercaillie and Ocellated Turkey
  7. Mallard Duck, Mandarin Duck, and Muscovy Duck
  8. Mute Swan and Black Swan
  9. Snowy Owl and Great Horned Owl (was thinking Eurasian Eagle owl, but great horned owls can also be found in the desert and rainforest, which is super cool)
  10. Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle
  11. Griffon vulture and King Vulture
  12. Toco Toucan and Great Indian Hornbill
  13. Scarlet Macaw and Hyacinth Macaw
  14. Kookaburra and Guam kingfisher
  15. European Bee Eater and Inca Tern
  16. Scarlet Ibis and Northern Bald Ibis

If I am making a selfish pack that fits within the confines of the pack structures we have currently, I would choose either...

Woodlands Animal Pack
1.
Yellow-throated marten
2. Ocellated turkey
3. Either giant Asian pond turtle or Indian star tortoise
4. Colombian red howler monkey
5. Southern pudu
6. Grivet monkey
7. Short-beaked echidna
Walkthrough exhibit. Either golden conure OR red-billed toucan

...Or my alternative option:

Omnivores Animal Pack
1.
Yellow-throated marten
2. Ocellated turkey
3. Giant Asian pond turtle
4. Golden-bellied mangabey
5. Yellow-backed duiker
6. Aye-aye
7. Greater bilby
Exhibit. Asian water dragon

If I were to go 100% selfish, without having to follow the rules of DLC we have had previously, a pack I would borderline kill for (knowing full well that practically no-one else would want it) is:

Invertebrate House Pack
Combines updates to the exhibits, scenery required for making an invertebrate house (including giant invertebrate statues) and a total of 25 new species - for this pack that would comprise one habitat, six walkthrough exhibit and eighteen standard exhibit animals:

Habitat species
1. Coconut crab

Walkthrough exhibit species
2. Large tree nymph butterfly
3. Gold-banded forester butterfly
4. Red postman butterfly
5. Emerald swallowtail butterfly
6. Glasswing butterfly
7. Madagascar golden orbweaver spider

Standard exhibit species
Stick insects (based off leaf insect animations)
8. Macleay's spectre stick insect
9. Golden-eyed stick insect
Grasshoppers (with new animations)
10. Desert locust
11. Surinam grasshopper
Long-bodied invertebrates (based off centipede animations)
12. Seychelles giant millipede
13. Barbados brown velvet worm
Flying insects (with new animations - mainly perched, although one may fly and land as one of its looped animations)
14. African death's-head hawkmoth
15. African giant mosquito
16. Jewel wasp
Mantises (with new animations)
17. Asian giant golden mantis
18. Giant rainforest mantis
Beetles, cockroaches, bugs and isopods (based off base-game beetle and cockroach animations)
19. Hercules beetle
20. Sumatran giant stag beetle
21. Giant Malaysian palm weevil
22. Madagascar hissing cockroach
23. Horrid king assassin bug
24. Titan isopod
Snails (based off land snail animations, but moved to water)
25. Golden apple snail

Thinking about this pack makes me feel surprisingly warm and fuzzy inside - I cannot stress how much I love seeing different invertebrate houses in zoos.

A pack theme that would cater to my needs the most would be a Eurasia animal pack. I think this isn’t too unlikely an idea either.

24314CC1-76C8-4286-88F2-E2BB5F0BD9ED.jpeg

•Wolverine
•Saiga
•Eurasian Wild Boar
•Eurasian Brown Bear
•European Bison
•Muskox
•Pacific Walrus
•Siberian Flying Squirrel (WE)

I’ve shared this idea and this concept picture before, but the more I think about it, the more I want it to come true. This would be the ideal pack for me.

I don't have any hot takes. I just want a bunch of SA animals. My personal picks would be an animal pack with the following animals:

1. Southamerican coati
2. Southamerican tapir
3. Ocelot
4. Patagonian mara
5. Greater rhea
6. Black and gold howler monkey
7. Roseatte spoonbill or Scarlet ibis
8. WTE: Hummingbirds (i personally want them more than macaws but any flying bird from Tropical latinamerica would do, macaws, parrots, toucans). If Ex then green anaconda.
