What is your selfish DLC idea?

Oh damn it I forgot about my baboon!
Well, I got you covered. Your and my selfish DLC-Idea should make a love child anyway. Love your picks.

Reminds me of old school days when classes were fused together and we all tried to pick the one friend we were allowed to pick to be together with in a class, so that a whole group is connected in the end. Never worked out.

To be fair, I don't think any real DLC will knock me off my feets at this point (and I assume there is only one left, 3 the most), but it's worth noting that I was extremly spoiled with the packs up until the tropical pack and animal wise the Twilight pack was a huge treat, as was the North America pack. So I'm okay with being less excited about packs now, but they still doooo get too shallow for me animal wise. Still have to cope with the Arid pack. And the Oceania is loved by me for the pieces, not so much the animals, but I'm sure those I will appreciate eventually. Nothing low balls the arid pack :D

A pack theme that would cater to my needs the most would be a Eurasia animal pack. I think this isn’t too unlikely an idea either.

•Wolverine
•Saiga
•Eurasian Wild Boar
•Eurasian Brown Bear
•European Bison
•Muskox
•Pacific Walrus
•Siberian Flying Squirrel (WE)

I’ve shared this idea and this concept picture before, but the more I think about it, the more I want it to come true. This would be the ideal pack for me.
I know it's a repeat post of one from one of either Winter or Spring threads, but I'll say it again. This is an absolutely fantastic pack and i'm really taken with it, and hoping that Frontier takes notice. I'll mention again, take out the EBB and update it from the HBB, and put in the Eurasian Otter and it's more than set.

I mean, from what I can tell (and I'm guessing here) it's even got a good mix of animals that won't take much work With the Wisent and either EBB or Eurasian Otter, animals that will take a medium amount of work with the Saiga Antelope and the Wild Boar, to offset the Wolverine, Muskox and Walrus.

Not only that, it's filled with popularly requested animals, mid-level requested animals and a surprise pick with the Wisent - I wouldn't call it an oddball pick, but it's not highly requested. Plenty of Woodlands, Tundra and even Taiga representation. It's literally a winning pack for everything except expectations that are set on South/Latin America (not likely for Winter) or birds.

I'll go a set further and say that at this point in time it's the strongest roster suggestion I've seen for our next pack. Others have been really good too but there's just something that roster that just "feels" like an authentic Frontier roster.

THIS would be ideal. I would ADORE for Frontier to simply add the Eurasian Brown Bear instead of or in addition to the HBB. That, and separate the current Grey Wolf (in game named ‘Timber Wolf’) into the Northeastern Wolf and Eurasian Wolf. These two moves, which would require such a minimal effort from Frontier, would do absolute WONDERS from a European representation standpoint!!! And the Eurasian Otter is such a wonderful pick, being so widespread, having such a range of biomes and being rep for the UK (which I’d personally love as much as I can get)!

So glad you agree that this would be a great pack! I tried to make it as realistic as possible to what Frontier would put out, as well as appealing to some needs of the community (and of course myself)! This would be the only pack absolutely necessary for me to complete my current zoo I’m building! So fingers crossed we see something similar in coming months!

I'd like to share my idea for an Aviary Pack:

Aviary Pack Fake.jpg

If we’re talking realistically speaking my selfish idea would be Unqiue Animal Pack covering shoebill, Mara, Pelican, tree roo, bush dog, echidna and Brazilian Porcupine.

If I’m just making a DLC catered to me and only me however-
  • Species of Spider Monkey
  • Serval
  • Pallas Cat
  • Takin (after researching more about these guys I really like them)
  • Patagonian Mara
  • Gelada
  • Secretary Bird
  • Chameleon (E) or literally any type of bird.

Okay, the popularity of spider monkeys confused me, so I looked up how often they are kept in EAZA zoos (because that's really the only way I can check easily, we need something like zootierliste for other regions) and I don't know why they are so common and yet I barely notice them.

I think another reason why they're so popular is because of how lanky they are so it would differentiate them from the current Capuchin monkey and the popular howler monkey, also I just think they're pretty well known (In NA at least) likely due to educational programs for kids in the 2000's. Also wish there was more alternatives for zootierliste, at least for NA and AZA, which I'm surprised someone hasn't made one yet.

To me they’re just the coolest species of monkey.

As for the scenery pieces I would love to see representation of East Slavic architecture. Horizontal log and wood walls, wooden and metal domes big and small, curved pieces for authentic roofs and bunch of flexicolor decorative stuff to recreate colorful cabins and "mansions" of Far East.

My selfish pack?

All of the above...

I'm hungry now. Thanks
Well, here's mine.

Safari Pack
  • African leopard
  • Masai giraffe
  • Olive or hamadryas baboon
  • Crowned crane (black or grey)
That's actually a solid pack, and I wouldn't even be the least bit disappointed with the African leopard

I'm kinda the same, but with updates. I'm more excited for the updates than the DLC (although the DLC are kinda nice, too)

Foghorn alone made the pack. I would pay $10 for Foghorn to start yelling in my zoos at people and then say: "Look at me when I'm talkin' to you, boy"

I'll have to really think about my selfish ideas, so I will be back
