Thaumaturge - really well made RPG in an unusual setting of 1905 Poland.

RoboCop - linear FPS based on popular franchise. Nice and simple fun!

Starfield is a good short term game .. pretty fun but once you've run through the story it's samey. You can use different companions but it ends up the same. There are some bugs still around for completing some missions even after NG10 . So if on sale it's good.

I've been playing the Fallout London, The Fallout 4 Total conversion. It's really well done with decent (if a bit stereotyped) voice acting, a large map, and a number of British themed factions. Also new mutants based on British animals. I loved the intro which has the flavour of an old public information film and feels more British than the vault tech cartoon theme.

The only real problem for me is loading times seem way longer than vanilla Fallout 4 for some reason despite it being installed on an ssd

Didn’t FO4 need its frame rate capping? Otherwise loading times went through the roof. Wondering if the same thing is needed?

Took my new Type IIA uboat out for my first patrol. After spending 1/3 of my fuel searching for a ship and doing regular hydrophone drives, nothing.
Came to surface and changed headings to search for a missing uboat and suddenly ship spotted in the dead of night off port stern.
Quick dive to periscode depth, lined up a 90.1 degrees shot just in time to fire a T2 torp at 750m. Right away it was 2-3 degrees off course and just missd the bow. Surfaced, went to full speed and chased the ship down with 20mm instead. Got the kill picked up some lumber floating cargo, the captain and engineer.
After more sailing around with no more ships spotted, returned to base at 50% fuel. I could have stayed a day or two longer and push it down to 30% fuel but I was aleady unhappy my first shot in the war was a miss.

My uboat career came to an end on my 4th patrol. Got greedy and paid for it.

Went to my favorite patrol area of the Mouth of Thames. Already sank 2 frieghters by that pojnt, the second one I killed off the east of Canvey Island. Headed north to get out of dodge and spotted smoke on the horizon. Very soon spotted a tanker, when I got closer there was another freighter NW of the tanker. Chases the tanker all the way until it ran aground south of Canvey Island, but I was too far away and after 2 magazines of the 20mm watch crew spotted a ship to the south coming out of the Thames, escort heading for me. Quickly dived and did the wiggle dance wth the escort before letting off a torp at 0m depth and destroyed the grounded tanker. 2 more escorts homed in on me, but I was doing fine apart from damaging one periscope from a collision. Just as the third escort reached my position, the other frieghter showed up, it decided to do a suden turn south, heading right for me. At 2 knt I coudn't get out of the way and took a heavy hit, lost half the crew and the boat was leaking. DEAD from a freighter.
