What other games are we all playing?

So how many of us are going to put these other games on standby when 3.0 drops? The main reason I've been playing other games recently is in anticipation for 3.0, so come Tuesday, I'll be spending all my recreation time playing ED again. I didn't get to try the beta, so in many ways it will be like a new and different game for me!

I just fired up ED again for a mad dash to get together a bunch of engineered modules before 3.0 drops. I even managed to work in some mayhem, too, while I was at it. Felt good to be back.

Similar feelings really. I'll dip the toe back in for a few hours see if it grabs me again. ED will always be installed on my PC I've put many many hours into it and it the sort of game that's nice to revisit and binge on for a bit while the rest of gaming is a bit dry.

Really I'm waiting for much more in the way of an exploration rethink and update in terms of mechanics etc though. I'll be keeping up to date on what the next big content drops are as times go on.

I recently started up ED after being away from it for a couple of months and liked what I saw. So I will wait until summer ends to see what changes has been made. No reason for me to go back right now.
I just bought an older PC with Windows XP to play some older gems like Blade Runner. :)

I just adored the Bioshock series, probably the most atmospheric games I've ever played. If you like the general aesthetic of those games then I can recommend Shape Of Water which I saw last night.
One of the most epic times for me in Bioshock 2 was when the wife walks down the hall and hears, "Your the best daddy" in that little sisters voice, comes in wondering just what the hell I'm watching. :)

Recently I've been happily playing the original CD-ROM edition of Baldur's Gate with a poverty thief build. It's absolutely aggravating, and I love it :D

Happy camper here; running steam natively on Linux, and been playing the crap out of CS : S , a game I haven't played in easily 3 years.

The reckoning third stage mod for Mount and Blade warband.

Some bugs (but not bad for a work in progress), it's fun to lead a band of scavengers through a zombie infested world. 20 riflemen against a few hundred infected is interesting, if you get bitten your men kill you.

Playing the final DLC for Battlefield 1. Really great maps and weapons added.

Say what you like about EA and all developers DICE really know how to make a great game. So many epic moments. They have really captured hell on earth during ww1 in their paschendale and somme maps.

Anyone even halfway into multiplayer shooters should have this in their library.

Time to play is limited, and for the moment I like to play TW Attila.

Just Started Age of Empires : the Definitive edition whilst I was waiting for 3.0 to drop. Its really rather good and just as much fun as I remember it. So my gaming time is now split between AOE:DE and ED 3.0!

I have also pre ordered Sea of Thieves

I stopped playing ESO to play ED since beta, and no game has tempted me away until recently, I can see SOT becoming my main game. But only time will tell.

AOE is one game that has aged very well, even the original version.

Far Cry 5 is supposed to drop a week after my birthday, on the 27th. I suspect that I'll be playing that for a fair amount of time (still play FC4 occasionally). :)

Same, not pre-ordering it but I think I will get FC5 as soon as it is out. I enjoyed 3 and 4 tremendously, Primal was a bit no/no with the setting for me. Happy to see we are back in to modern times again.

I played the first one and loved it the rest less so. I won't be getting this on release. Depending on reviews I might get it in a heavily discounted sale. The icon splurge, low priority given to story, and cookie cutter gameplay irritate me in these games and I feel it's lazy on the developers part. They could do a lot to remedy thus stuff but why bother??? They still sell bucket loads and might as well be beer battered excrement as far as I'm concerned. They aren't getting my money on day one.

I'm playing a lot of BF1 again these days. The TTK patch and encryption of parts of the game client (to address common cheat software) has utterly transformed the game out here in Asia. Now if only they could fix the team-stacking and general team balance issues, it would be an FPS classic. That's unlikely though.

If they keep the current policies for BF:V, I'll be playing that when it's released.

No, I won't pre-order, because if I do, the release date will slip. ;)

Never tried Primal, as it just wasn't a game style I was interested in.

I suspect Cheeseburger and I are going to have some fun taking out some wacked out 'True Believers'. :D

"Cookie cutter gameplay", and lazy developers? That blanket can be thrown over Elite Dangerous, along with many other games and developers of said.

Doesn't stop me from enjoying myself. YMMV.

Hey, at least it isn't another MMO... :D
