What other games are we all playing?

  • Offworld Trading Company!
And Offworld Trading Company is what entertains me most atm. It's some pretty witty build up - off-world stock-market rts thingy - and it's hard.

There is a new DLC for Offworld Trading Company out now, called Market Corrections, that let's you host free multiplayer games. Basically only the host needs a pay copy ... for others it's free to play now... or so.

However I am not good enough yet for multiplayer competiton.

Hah, I love OTC. It's an underrated little gem imho, whose single player content seems to be glossed over. There's more than enough to do with AI-skirmishes, scenarios, campaigns and dailies that one doesn't need to ever touch multiplayer to enjoy it. Also, one can get a taste for DLCs for free by either joining a multiplayer game hosted by someone with them, or by playing the dailies that use them. Say the daily scenario is on Ceres, you can play it without owning the Ceres DLC yourself. And it's nicely self-contained in that a game will last around 30-45 minutes, so you know how long a play session you're committing for.

And yes, it's hard. "Managing Expectations" in particular is (in)famously difficult and should be considered like a "Certification", it's not a tutorial as most new players think it is (been there, done that). Standard skirmishes at the same difficulty will generally be easier thanks to different maps/factions.

Lots of Forza Horizon 4 at the moment, liking it much more than The Crew. It looks beautiful and driving is a good mix between realistic and pure fun.

I hope to be playing that before the heath death of the universe...76 GB download and the Microsoft store doesn't look like the smartest downloader around.

Aye, downloading this game from Microsoft store was pain and just to warn you - the game wont start or quit with my GData firewall running so in case of the issue just turn your defenses for the time being.

Lone Echo. It's just eclipsed ED as my most immersive VR game. They've put a lot of love into this game. The UI, textures and physics are amazing. I have no idea why I waited 2 years to play it.

@Vasea Azure , finally completed Forza 4's humongous download and got around to play a bit. Damn, it was well worth the wait. The detail in some places is borderline insane. Driving around at 70 km/h enjoying the scenery, stop and smell the roses, or chase the sheeps.

You Brits have a nice countryside indeed. :D

I've got Forza horizons 4 and Forza 7 free on the Xbox and Microsoft store...haven't played Forza since Forza 2 so I still haven;'t installed them. I might actually get around to it now

I've been playing Elite Dangerous ( and, before that, the previous versions of Elite) for years (check my sig). I'm not bored with it but, after a Windows 7 re-install I haven't re-installed ED. This is mainly because I'm going to have to upgrade to a new rig and Windows 10 early next year.

Late last year I got a PS4 and I've been playing a lot on that:
PS4
Fallout 4
Fallout 76
Doom
Gran Turismo Sport
Skyrim (played it on the PC but just installed the remastered version on PS4 for a replay)

PC
Warframe (which I have been flogging for a couple of years now).

I'm going to get a copy of ED Horizons for the PS4 and start the journey from scratch again.

For sake of accuracy, "Lets be real, We're all bored of ED already" could be better phrased. Change "we're all" to "I'm". It'll work, then, as an accurate statement. :)

I like this; it reminds me of the old forums and the old Dangerous Discussions. Rock on!

Definitely try it mate, if you enjoy racing games Forza 4 is a blast. It reminds me of Test Drive Unlimited where you can just sit back, relax and drive around the countryside enjoying the views. The graphics are really beautiful and the driving (I`m on full realistic with little to no assists) feels just right on spot between realistic and purely enjoyable gaming. Also there is insane amount of activities and over 400 cars to play with.

Everything Vasea wrote, plus like, really, guys, this graphics thing is getting ludicrous:

145467

145468

145469

145470

145471

145472

This is the actual detail, running on ultra detail on a GTX 1060 at 1080p between 70 and 100 fps. Whatever they did with their engine, they have my admiration.

@Vasea Azure Test Drive Unlimited was a great game for its time, I still remember starting it, buying an Alfa Romeo GT and just going around for a couple hours at traffic speeds struggling to believe I was actually doing that in a game. :D

Guys in my faction's Discord got into Dirt Rally and we put up a league of our own. Damn fun competing in the league, despite of that superduperc-rappy Dirt Leagues website.
Been taking few runs in Star Citizen also, having some fun with friends.
Hell Let Loose has gotten some attention from me also, best fun with friends.
Then we started a new co-op game in Divinity: Original Sin 2, thats really fun with 4 players. :)

And while playing those, i'm eagerly waiting for Starbase early access to start and i recon when it does, Elite is even more somewhere in the distant future for me..

After incredibly positive introduction to the Forza games with Horizon, I bought the Motorsport 7 one and enjoying it immensely. No idea why I waited so long with getting one of those!
Also tomorrow we should be getting DCS F-16 so lots of great gaming time ahead of me.

I saw this being trailled a while back and love the darkness and atmosphere, but I'm not a huge fan of 2D overhead games so haven't kept a check on it. Mind you I loved Syndicate (I think) all those years back.
It's a 3d, 3rd person perspective game...no idea where you got the 2d thing from... It's not an open world sandbox or anything, a linear story driven game all in all but I'm loving it so far. It reminds me a bit of the excellent Senua's sacrifice in the atmospheric story telling.

Aaaah, fair doos, it seems my memory was playing tricks on me! It looks a little like one of the Resident Evil games I played a while back, in both style and colour tone.
