What other games are we all playing?

Well I gave up on Assassins Creed IV after a bug corrupted my save file (no way I was going to play through everything I’d done all over again at that point). Shame really as I had finally bought that game after hearing about the upcoming Skull & Bones game due for release in 2020.

So then I bought Witcher 3 but have been unable to really get into it. I put that game down and picked up Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, which I have been enjoying since. Good game!

84 active mods here, and still interested in more. On the other hand, I'm purposefully trying to keep my mod list relatively low for the purpose of stability and immersion. Many of my mods are tiny QOL fixes, like allowing lightning to set oil on fire.

Yup I'm not going overboard on mods as some have caused issues leading to lost progress. Currently attempting to max out acheivements.

As a self-appointed Skyrim moddologist and chief immersionologist, I can tell you that the most important rule of modding Bethesda games is: create your mod list (and loading order) at the start of a new save, and stick with it. Adding (and especially removing) mods during a playthrough is asking for trouble.

Indeed, learnt that with Morrowind. Hence why I don't go overboard with mods!

For me Skyrim and 3d Fallout games are almost not worth playing with out mods at this point. Maybe with exception of Fallout New Vegas. Not only talking about community bug fixes. If future Bethesda games will go the online service/no modding route I cant see playing them at all.
For "must have" Skyrim mods I can also reccomend this housing one:

godamit. You just reinfected me with the Skyrim browse and drool over homes, castles and mansions virus. Instead of catching up with ED and RDR2, now I'm doomed. I'm going to be doing some serious hours of houme shopping on Nexus. For even more homes my Dovahkin doesn't really need or care to visit. Lol.

edit: Thought that was another great property I missed. Just notice this was for Oldrim not SSE so will have to port it later for personal use. Based on location, this shouldn't have any incompatibilty with sku11M0nkey's Breezehome fully upgraded (BEST Breezehome mod on Nexus to date). This amazing mod of Breezehome has a secret entrance by the waterfall outside Whiterun's gates. Perfect way to sneak into the city for my TG/DB guildmaster. Or battle weary stormcloak.

Also this version of the vanilla home is professionally well done. Has a small, hilarious mini quest where you have to interact with Gareth a fully voiced NPC. He's the mod's custom home builder who installs whatever extensions you want to Breezehome.

I've indeed found this trouble, though thankfully it's not affected me that much. There's actually some mods that let you play the game after uninstalling other mods, since otherwise the game just crashes!

Oh, and I had a bunch of guards running around naked for awhile, until I learned the "restoreinventory" command (sic).

Have I been in cryogenic sleep? I just stumbled across this rendition of Lakeview. Jeezus Christ o_Oo_Oo_O

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/90286

I mean Jeezus.

O cruel karma. Dangling this mouth watering Eden before me, with full carnal knowledge I can't install it without conflict with AC3s LV version. Even worse, this nirvana version doesn't support multiple kids over the vanilla 2

But god DAMN look at it! It's INSANE the amount of attention put into this work. It was truly a labor of love by AndreeA!

@Vasea Azure if you like this version of LV, pls do the modder a favor and endorse. Thanks to Nexusmods politics, this mod did not get the attention on the front page for new mods as it deserved when it first came out. I'm defintiely downloading and porting this to SSE for future use in a later play thorugh.

Very nice mods. Good catch. I've already dl'd two of them.
Here's my most favored armor for Serana .

Nice armor. Another great armor set is the refracted Stahlrim armor by Skysan

Lustmord armor would go well with this texture overhaul of Serena. I prefer her blue eyed version in this mod. Lot more immersive.

The SSE ported version

Are you one of the old hardcore die hards that's still holding out playing Oldrim btw? As a PC gamer, I swore to myself I'd never jump ship for Bethesda's cheap texture SE overhaul (and CC store feature) additions to the game. This was about a year or so after SSE had released with minimal support from modding community. Was also royally ticked off that Bethesda so inconsiderately split the PC fan base. That plus fact the majority of the best mods and mod support tools had still not ported over to SE. But once SKSE64 (and other critical utilities like SkyUI, Loot, USSEP, Beyond Bruma series, Chesko's mod suite etc etc) all made the jump, I admitted defeat. Resignedly threw in the towel and joined the heretical SSE herd  And to be fair, I'll begrudgingly give Bethesda credit where it's due. SSE has lived up to it's marketing existence as the better optimized and stable OS version of the game. FPS black holes at locations the likes of Markarth and Solitude world spaces no longer grind my high end PC video card to a halt. o_O

Totally hooked with Space Engineers.
Got a private server with few friends and i bought the game week ago and since i have clocked almost 40 hours with SE. :D
Build and fly your own space ships, build anything really.. It's a great game, especially now after these latest updates. :)
There is nothing quite like flying your own ships.

Stop it! I still have a month to wait!! (Unless it goes on sale early)

HOLY FREAKY COINCIDENCE! The minute I submit this thread, I get email from Steam that SE is on sale...

#IlluminatiConfirmed

Yep. SE currently discounted at $13 USD atm until Nov 4th. Don't forget to get the Economic Pack DLC at $2.79 USD. Get this if nothing else at it's the most critical DLC that vastly improves the QoL in the game (for solo and multiplayer/coop modes). But try to get all 3 DLC packs before sale ends. They're all discounted at 30% at $2.79 each.

Don't forget the awesome free community mods from the player base in the Steam Workshop. And feel free to share/upload your own creations there as well!

Now is this coincidental timing or what with Outer Worlds release a mere 1.5 hrs away in the Microsoft Store? It's almost as though Steam is trying to steal some of Obsidian's thunder in the space arena. Especially since Bethesda's private server launch is another dumpster fire. And all of us Fallout old school fan bois will be obsessively playing TOW for the rest of the month.... 🤣

edit: Oh crap. With the new update today, they added some cool new build/engineering features and ship/base capabilities Like new science lab and engineering module stations and long requested storage box units. And building superstructures on atmospheric planets like bridges the scale of the SF Golden gate! o_O

I'm basically going MIA for the next couple weeks or so playing Outer Worlds and Space Engineers now
