It's still on my wishlist, so I'll give it another look come the big Steam Summer Sale.I only harp on about it because a) it's a great game and b) I really honestly think you would like it, and it makes me somewhat sad that you don't own it.

See that, that's just rude. So I'll take your advice and actually "ignore" you. Shame, as I used to value what you had to say in this forum...When no doubt the whole process of asking opinions and advice (and then ignoring it) will start all over again...![]()

An unexpected treat for me since I've been playing the AC Valhalla DLC set in Ireland for the last day or so. A few beautiful Gaelic songs...I wonder if Ubisoft even realised it's sung in my native language of Scots Gaelic rather than Irish Gaelic...the language is Irish Gaelic but intonation is Scots...very strange
Regardless, it brought a tear to my old eyes... memories of a childhood when English was still a foreign language I had yet to learn
Five ways that connect you
Four winds bless you
Three heads you kiss
Two fateful heels that will make your howl feel - under them
On the Hill of Tara standing, Lia Fáil
On the Hill of Tara standing, Lia Fáil
I am the stone heart of Inis Fáil
The heart where secrets are known is hidden
The heart that recognizes all desires
The poet who sings only, under the heels of a true king
I sing the Inis Fáil song
Truly your desire for Ireland, I will break my silence
My cries will be heard in the fertile field In the breath of peace, in the beneficial mist
They brought me to the hill Who begged my will for the five
They are said to protect the country
And directing an Inis Fáil poem
It's all the same language at the end of the day...Irish Gaelic was the original Mother tongue...Scot's Gaelic is only a local variation of it...as is Welsh and CornishI would imagine they would know that - since I think Julie Fowlis (who sang the 2nd track) is a fairly prominent Scots Gaelic folk singer. Even I've heard of her, and I barely speak a word.
Beautiful, also. Not a big fan of the game myself, but this I like.
X4 is a great game, imho, however it is tricky to understand, the UI is more Eve than anything else, however it is fun. I played it for about 350 hours and had a blast but it did not fill the ED / BGSO (yes I'm a Cylon) hole. It's still on my wishlist, so I'll give it another look come the big Steam Summer Sale.
I started playing X3:TC, which I've owned for awhile (bought it for a song) but never really tried until now. I still have a lot to learn, but it seems to have potential. It does feel a little "slow" and "stale" to me compared to the fun and not to serious Rebel Galaxy, but maybe that's just because I'm starting out. RG has a sort of Firefly feel to it, especially interacting with NPCs. I've yet to have any meaningful interactions with NPCs in X3 except my flight instructor, LOL.X4 is a great game, imho, however it is tricky to understand, the UI is more Eve than anything else, however it is fun. I'd recommend AP - they fixed a bunch of stuff in AP and mod support is better. How are NPCs in X4? I know they are wonderful from a "every NPC is actually doing something that makes a difference in the game" perspective, but do they have character?
That's a good point re NPC character. Yes they do have character, each faction reacts in a different way and each has its own view of you as a friend or a threat. Individually station based NPC have character and can surprise when responding, occasionally. Storyline NPC are more involved than station based NPC. Overall NPC is pretty good.I started playing X3:TC, which I've owned for awhile (bought it for a song) but never really tried until now. I still have a lot to learn, but it seems to have potential. Got about 25 games against the AI in. I can fairly consistently beat medium, the couple of times I've played hard it kicked my backside. Playing Protoss obvs.Downloaded Starcraft 2 a couple of days back. It's free so why not.
I have no idea what I am doing. I am terrible at RTS games. I hate on-line play.
With that in mind I'm looking forward to being able to play ranked games just for the stupidity.
Just bought Mass Effect Legendary Edition for Xbox One X and it's downloading the 80gb right now.
I've played this trilogy to bits back in my pc gaming days and can't wait to relive this epic story once again.
The reviews are very good and from what I've seen so far ME1 has been greatly enhanced.
Imho the ME trilogy is one of the biggest rpg icons in history next to Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2.
I want my allies to say, "It's a fine day with you around!" Skyrim and Dragon's Dogma spoiled me bad when it comes to NPC interactions. Red Dead, too. That's a good point re NPC character. I've yet to find any story in X3, but I'm very much a noob. I'm just kinda toying around with it for now, contemplating what comes after Rebel Galaxy (which I suspect is a relatively quick game to finish).I'd recommend AP - they fixed a bunch of stuff in AP and mod support is better. Make sure you install the bonus pack.

For me it's been a while since I played the original trilogy and playing the new legendary edition with the new enhancements is a real treat, feels a bit like coming home again.Tempted. I have the full series plus all DLC and have put a stupid number of hours in to 3 game runthroughs. Am really interested to see #1 in it's new state!
AP is the one that comes after TC, right? I think I own that. Is each DLC independent, or are they sequential? In other words, is there a story in TC that will be spoiled if I jump into AP without playing TC?I'd recommend AP - they fixed a bunch of stuff in AP and mod support is better. I have all of them. They are good and at this point are probably close to free price wise.I was thinking about reinstalling Age of Wonders 3 again. Has anyone picked up the dlc's for this game?
Any good?
