Real World Theme Parks What real world park/ride are you hoping to recreate in Planet Coaster first?

I've always been a big fan of Colossus at Thorpe Park here in the UK. I'd like to see what I can do in terms of terraforming/supports as the area surrounding the ride could be a tough one to get right. But it poses quite a good challenge!

Oh my god, with the terraforming and elevated paths you could probably make an even nicer version of it :p

I could create one with a lot less rust and a lot nicer foliage too [tongue]

Wow I'm not the only one who wants to remake Colossus! The ride hasn't aged well, the past couple years it's given me a headache from the severe vibrations, but I've always loved how the whole area is themed with the curving elevated paths and the coaster dropping down and under the bridge etc.

I've tried to recreate it in every theme park game but I've never been happy with it, especially due to the paths running through the area, I'm hoping Planet Coaster will allow me to create a much more authentic version than I've previously been able to.

Thorpe Park is my local park so I'm sure I'll end up recreating at least parts of it!

My favourite part is the airtime hill under the shop! That should be a great element to try and recreate! Although the back half of the coaster will be quite a challenge!

I'm dreaming about rebuild Europa Park's coasters in PC. Lot of fans did it on RCT3 but i think it ll be more incredible on PC

please make possible to build structures around coasters and apply imported texture on them (wall/roof etc..)

I would probably make the Baron 1898 from the Efteling in the Netherlands. Just because it's such a great experience! All the rides in the Efteling have stories connected to them, in this case it's someone who died in a mine I believe... Anyway, most amazing ride I've visited ever!

I'm way late to this since I haven't checked the Real World sub-forum once, but I want to make my own take on Disneyland ASAP :D

The variety it has will be a great way to test the game. Terraforming on Big Thunder Mountain, Scenery on Main Street (and castle, which should be great with the fantasy theme), Coaster Editor on, well, every coaster. Gonna be so gewd.

I'd love to see some images of your creation when you get your hands on the full game at its future release date. The terrain editing will definitely allow for a pretty accurate recreation of Big Thunder Mountain.

:)

We'll need dat Western Theme and Mine Train Coaster too.

Paying homage to the recently retired John Wardley, one of Thorpe Park or Alton Towers. If it was a scenery thing, Europa Park. Liseberg also a good one for it's ride layout and terrain.

son of beast or THE beast would be really fun to make (sadly never got to ride sob) but maybe kraken or manta fronm seaworld orlando would do

Without a doubt, Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Particularly, the very first roller coaster I ever went on, The Big Bad Wolf.

I would love to recreate, Saw The Ride, The Vampire (chessington world of adventures) Nemisis, smiler, thirteen, oblivion (alton towers)

You brought up streetview on page 2 in this thread and I went to "my" park Liseberg and yay they have streetview too! BUT, it is old from 2010 and half the park has changed since including the major new coaster Helix and the whole kids area. They are renovating the south hill area now turning into Victorian style play area (playground like, and free) and a new aeroplane ride too where you can rotate the plane on will. (but I am mourning the loss of the iconic 60s ferris wheel) Will definitely be trying it out. Well, I veered a bit off topic now. Sorry.

This coaster is very similar to the old Bobs Coaster that used to be at Bell Vue Park in Manchester UK. Bobs was built in the 1920s and was demolished in the 70s, when the park closed. The only difference to the Coney Island coaster, was that Bobs ran much faster and the curves were banked, but it ran on a similar figure 8 construction and curved station.
