General / Off-Topic What song are you listening to right now :)

From a birthday present I received today, not a song and yes, it is ballet, but it is really really funny, honest, have a watch:

I hope you have a giggle at it.

^^ Love this song and liked the movie.

To add some more Björk:

A big classic

:)

So many fantastic music videos from her, I posted I Miss You before (there was a cartoon arc on the go) - Hunter, Cocoon, Hyperballad, Joga, Big Time Sensuality, All is Full of Love, Violently Happy, Pagan Poetry and many more, but possibly my favourite is Isobel:

... and of course there is the strangely out of character (but fun);

BTW my copy of Dancer in the Dark has never been replayed as that ending was so disturbing.

Hurray! Someone else who actually likes Sucker Punch. I'm convinced that if it had been directed by David Lynch then critics would have put something of an effort into working out what was going on and praised it as a masterpiece. I see it as a kind of cross between Inception and Mulholland Drive.

Anyway, talking about Lynch and since Para Handy appears to have already posted all my fave Bjork songs here's Julie Cruise:

Nah, the criticism was justified. It just wasn't that good. For the record I liked it too but it wasn't all that. I wish he'd stuck to one movie, preferably the one about a team of cupie-doll assassins in a steampunk universe kicking butt. :)

Hi,

funny coincidence, I've finished Twin Peaks season 3 few weeks ago. And I really like it. As I get older, I understand more and more, what Lynch is trying to say.

Lynch was asked to be the director of Return of the Jedi, but he refused (he explains, why, and I like, what he is saying: https://vimeo.com/205130386 )

... and there are rumours, that Pink Floyd was asked to make the soundtrack of 2001 Space Odyssey. For me, these are the greatest 'What if... ' moments in movie history.

This is a longer one, but there are some very breathtaking moments (my favourite is at 19:20) :

The mind simply boggles just thinking what he would have done with that film. Could have traumatised an entire generation of kids...

Must get round to rewatching the whole of TP someday.

This has a bit of a Lynchian vibe
