General / Off-Topic What song are you listening to right now :)

This is where a little studio engineering comes in, my hard rockin' amigos ....

(Not the best song in the world .. but a tribute)

From Belgium Soulsister with The Way To Your Heart from 1988:

If I may, one more (and my all-time favourite) from Amy ...

Just love those lyrics ...

"Don't you know you supposed to be the man?
Not pale in comparison to who you think I am"

[heart]

I discovered this particular song by accident.
It's pretty special, but I like it. [big grin]

This will divide y'all...

Remember this?

I love it now. At the time of release I was a teeny poop nozzle and ignored it. I remember hating it, and I don't understand why. Now I am older and relatively wiser... and it has meaning. It taps right into a primal part of my brain, and I love it. I hate the message, but not the messenger. This is dysphoria. As a piece of art, this wins. This wins hard.

The end.

Yes; I remember it well. She rocks.

A few years ago, I had discovered her talent when I was in a store in town.

There was a screen in the store which broadcasted a video of concert.

I had been impressed.

If you haven't already seen it I strongly recommend the Asif Kapadia film ..

.. revealing, heartbreaking, beautiful, brilliant and definitely made me appreciate her music more than I had before seeing it.

In my opinion Cassidy's early death remains one of the great tragedies in music...... the voice of an angel.

RIP.............

We were driving from a mining town in the middle of nowhere to a remote mine site just last week and
one of the boys in the van put this old song on which I haven't heard in a while...
This is what we do for a living, so this song hit hard and deep:

Totally agree, amazing, emotive voice, Over the Rainbow of course is heart-rending in reminding us of her passing although I think her recording of Fields of Gold might be my favourite but this video of Time after Time is poignant:

When I was a kid I had this record on a picture record just like on the picture below the video.
Moving a couple of times made me loose the record unfortunately.
