Twould be great... If it were true. I can assure you that pilots' federation ships do not sport the hollow bar. Just go to the compromised nav beacon of LTT 4487 and you will find embountied ships from said faction. All unsurprisingly represented by solid bars.

Doing a smuggling run and getting away with it and I've done everything text book (so far)
A couple of jumps to do and all happy, before the first drop off.. BUT I get thirsty (and too confident) "and start boozing..."
By the time I line myself up and zoom in on silent running, I've usually downed half a glass of the special stuff; and my fingers go to jelly
..and I smash the kids playpen outside the entrance and get scanned.
3 times that's happened to me. Ah the lovely booze!
Where do I quit too? team fortress 2, just to remind myself how good ED is and do an hour of rocket jumping (good old school therapy)
Then back to the start again and try it sober the next day.
So your drinking problem takes you out of the game. I hope you get the help you need.
All the doohickeys that are lit up with line graphs and pie charts and meter bars in any given ship's cockpit that aren't animated and serve no purpose with the existence of our holographic UIs. All of these screens/panels/widgets should either be off, or at the very least have some animation that reflects their purpose. When I don't make an active effort to shut these out of my mind I feel like I'm flying a McDonalds Happy Heal toy with little paste-on stickers for the cockpit functions.

Too many things.
I stopped playing months ago. Reinstalled it a while back to see if it is worth it now but uninstalled it again the same day.
Elite: Boring made a few capital mistakes that lead to decisions that hurt the game bad. One of these mistakes is some sort of identity crisis. It never knew what it wants to be, a serious and 'dangerous' space sim... or a goofy trololol wannabe shooter that is designed to please the console crowd.
It wasted most of its potential. Just go read the design discussion archive and see for yourself...
It's a pity, really.

After +half year without ED, I was thinking to give it a retry and logged in... to realise my HOTAS settings are changed and doesn’t work any more (i.e. left Monitor cant be open). Sure, I could reconfiguration it, but after a few minutes I was bored of searching in the option window and I remembered why I left ED...

The fact that you can 'toggle off' HRPs is one of the things that reminds me I'm playing a work-in-progress, rather than a complete product.
The things that break Immersion for me.
The way you can jump out of a Res site and Jump back into it, so it recreates the instance with fresh AI not at all like the ones you left 30 seconds ago.
The way Universal Cartographics Pays for the same data over and over but never allows us to buy data on systems discovered outside the bubble.
The way Fdev seem to endorse the use of the Exploit of swapping modes for Mission boards and for Community Goals.

Game gets boring after u have enough credits. No deep. Bad instances. p2p crap in pvp. cheating npcs.old bugs and some bans for cheat in solo forces me to stop play the boring game. i dont like online only games. i want to play a game as i like.there are other games out there where I can waste my time. I Invested lots of money in this Game by backing, bought 5 accounts and all paintjops. also countless hours of play.
