What the heck kind of heat map is this?!

Wow, if you had no problems on your first outing then there definitely can't be anything wrong with the DSS overlay. Wrap it up boys. We obviously don't know what we're talking about.
Because he didn't have a problem must mean no one else does - right? In spite of evidence to the contrary....

You will find bacteria only in smooth, low land areas. Look for patches with only a single colour. Sometimes they are rare and intersected by stripes and slashes of rough terrain. And even the smooth ones can fail when there are too many boulders on the ground. The heat map may say bacteria are everywhere, but really, they aren't. The conditions to find them are rather specific.
I KNOW WHERE TO FIND STUFF

I always heard that the ED community was a very nice and helpful one... but there is now absolute evidence that it's the very same low level as every average troll-ridden forum. "As long as I don't have a problem, there is no problem." And even better: "When people are reporting their problems, I tell them that they're not right and just ignore everything they report, because if I don't have a problem then there is no problem."

Sounds more of a know-it-all-ole community to me, to be more precise.

Whoever told you that?

Keep in mind that a single datum isnt a case; you have to compile a sufficient sample size. So our experiences shouldn't be weighed against each other like that, only taken as part of the whole.

And ofc there's all the issues with using forum posts as a guide to anything.

Bottom line, I suggest using the error reporting subforum. It is constructed specifically to compile our data.
