What time will the Australia DLC be released?

Like the title says. Will it be 12am tonight or sometime tomorrow? I think one of the other DLC's was released at about 4pm. 🤔

Announcements about it being available tend to be around mid-day on the day of release.

You all should consider how it feels being in New Zealand. It's the 25th of August right now. I have to wait until the morning of the 26th so you northern hemisphereans can catch up. 😭

That's why I*m for a cest midgnight release D Even the southern hemisphere wouldn't have to wait that long then. But as far as I know it's a steam decision, not a Frontier decision.

Not quite correct. The decision is upto the developer on when the release happens. Steam has no say in the matter unless its something not appropriate to be on their platform.

Also to add, the update comes from the Frontier servers and gets stored on Steams servers for quicker download via their platform, but anything past that is updated from Frontier.

It's not like anyone gets it earlier though like some game releases, it is available same time for everyone.

I think you mean its not like the movies where NZ/Aus got the first screenings of blockbuster movies because we just happen to be that lovely number of timezones ahead of the US.

Personally, I think it would be fair, if every time zone got the update at the same local time, but that's not possible on Steam. For example when Anno 1800 was released, players on Uplay got it at their local time and players on Steam hat to wait longer

Look, just so everyone is clear, I haven't once said that I think I deserve the release "early" by virtue of being in a different timezone. I was just making a joke because the release date is "August 25th" in British time, which for me is technically August 26th. Basically, everyone here is hanging out for the 25th, but I'm hanging out for the next day.
