Hasn't it got a tool to loosen the spring? Seems that pretty much every other part of the stick can be adjusted.
Didn't know that Madcatz was a branch of Saitek; thanks for that.
Edit: One thing I'm a bit concerned about - does the ability to disconnect the main stick from the body have any impact on the stability, build quality and general performance of the controller?
Just had a read on Amazon and numerous people are complaining the stick is too stiff - my enthusiasm for this controller is beginning to wane.
Anyone got one of these?

4 out 5 stars across 200 reviews at Amazon, and it's a lot cheaper than the Cyborg as well. Shame it hasn't got a split throttle - that would really come in handy for adjusting trim in flight sims.
Piccy:
And I've just had a thought: as I have Track IR, I have no use for the PoV stick - unless I map it to adjusting trim.

This stick has just become my new target - OK, it can't fold like the Cyborg can but that's no biggie for me. Also people are saying that the throttle has a nice bit of friction to it - it's not completely loose like with some other sticks.
One of the annoying things about the Cyborg (the F.L.Y. and the one I have now is all the buttons are on the stick and quite close together - it's very easy to press the wrong one. With the Speedlink Black Widow, a few buttons are on the stick but a lot of them are on the base itself in a line - I prefer that configuration.
For those with the Logitech X52 Pro, lucky you for having one! Bit outside of my price range though.
