Grand Prix II.

Very very first video game I ever played, I think was Chip'n'Dale Rescue Rangers on NES at my neighbour's.

First arcade game Pong. First cheat/hack-Space Invaders-free game whenever the console would reboot from a crash + static electricity from carpet = win for me! First PC game-hard to remember because I was an avid type-in coder..you would type actual code in from a magazine then play the game Some TRS-80 mostly C=64. First commercial games played-Bards Tale and Elite! (these games were new when I was in my mid-20's, so yeah, late bloomer!) Addiction at its finest C=64! First 'indie' title finished-Gruds in Space C=64. First Commercial title finished-Half Life PC.

Also owned an Amiga 500, Amiga 1000 (it had hard coded software or was this a 1200?), Amiga 2000

First Computer Game

The very first computer game I played was the original Duke Nukem for DOS. Oh the memories! Loved that game. I played many games on the good old 286. Chips Challenge, Jezzball, SkiFree, and many more. Oh the good ol' days of the bygone era. Oh them nostalgia feels, hahaha.

The Lawnmower man on the SNES :p Then SEGA with Sonic and Mortal Kombat.

Edit- Misread the OP, computer game as in PC game would be C&C Gold, the original and the best <3 Hooked me onto the RTS genre to this day that game did, while my friends played football , I would sneak onto my Uncles PC and put the game on thrashing GDI as NOD ;) Come to think of it, I believe it was that game that got me hooked on gaming.

I absolutely loved Grand Prix II. It was an addiction. In the end I got so good at it that I had to download a mod tool to make the opposition cars faster. First game I ever modded I think.

Anyway, the first game I ever played was Monsters on the BBC Micro circa 1983:

Not counting Atari 2600, it was Star Trek in mid-70's on a computer with a keyboard-printer interface. It was similar to that golf game, but it would also print out basic graphics of quadrants and sectors. It was a crazy waste of paper to show off what a computer could do.

Manic Miner on the BBC B - Mum picked it when they bought a BBC Micro for the family. A Formula 1 game I can't recall the name of was second. Elite and Revs (Geoff Crammond) followed shortly after.

Can't remember my first EVER game. But the first PC I played was the original Doom back when it was first released :D

I can't believe that people still make mods/expansions to it even after all this time. Like the "Brutal Doom" mod, which is just ridiculously over the top and amusing it keeps the game alive.

Starflight. :)

Played at a neighbor's house. My family didn't get a computer until later. Fond memories of Starflight, though.

In school I remember playing Oregon Trail, although I cannot recall if it was before or after Starflight.

My first was actually the original Wizardry, but Starflight was shortly after that. It was really waaaay ahead of it's time. I'm not sure they used procedural generation at that time, I think they used fractals. Either way, it was a huge universe to explore, AND had planetary landings!!!
...ah, the good ole days. :)
