Apparently the commander names are going to be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Anyone know whether this is going to be just the order that Frontier read the email responses, or your kickstarter pledge number, i.e. the first people to pledge will get preference. Maybe the order will be the amount you pledged.

"Commander" as a title seems to go with a surname, a first name being too informal.

Some time in the last two months (sorry, a bit of a blur), either David or Michael said that name reservation will give preference to the person who pledged first if two people go for the same name.
They also specifically state that they will only acceppt non-offensive names that will not cause trouble with copyright.

Fair play, i just googled it myself, although i wasn't aware it was spelled in the credits that way, i think i prefer my way. Great film regardless.
