Great game, 250+ only hours of playtime but playing, exploring and still finding every now and then something new. I doubt that my, Yours, someone else's life is ruined because of an update that came out of the blue on Friday to give us hungry commanders new suffeli (Finnish acronym for extra content).

Keep up the good work, I have zero regrets of any moment spent this far to the game.

I'm pretty sure this could have been done during normal UK working hours Frontier is a UK based company.

It's bad form to down your game for 6-hours at peak time update or no update. Also If you haven't been on board for an update before don't expect to be playing Elite any time today or even tomorrow as the download speed will be around 0.01mbps regardless of you internet connection.

Same, glad I moved into the Steam service - got a way better download than my friend who didn't.
I was done in about 10 minutes !

Jeesh, if it was on a Monday someone would complain that they should have done it on a Friday so people could play a new shiny new Elite all weekend....

Its patched on a Friday afternoon so all the Devs get to spend all weekend on their yachts off the tropical Cambridge coast without a care in the world. I mean who would want to work all weekend so a bunch of geeks can play internet spaceships ;-)

I still work in IT and Friday is always a no no, but then again we don't want the phone calls at the weekend!

Standard 'IT roll out rules':
Monday is a no no as everyone is still hungover from the weekend.
Tuesday is a good day as Monday has worn off.
Wednesday is even better because you might as well spice up the most boring day of the week!
Thursday is too close to Friday.
Friday is too late....,
