Where does one find Opinion Polls?

Unlocks and progress points in games should be relatively numerate and reasonably spaced apart. Shorter spans at the start and increasing as you play. This is... fine... fine... fine... a bit slower... Cliff.

they should really give 3 units for any material picked - like it happens with Horizons materials.
Well I just scrolled through the comments aimlessly, and it turns out Northpin won that day.

The only way it could make some sense is if you could trade any data for any data or at least different bartenders could trade different data and eventually you will find the one who trades opition polls. But as far I understand data is untradable and lists are fixed... maybe devs just forgot to implement something or include in the release. It cannot be true that they expect players to grid that much. You can buy a 2nd grade gun with upgrades for 1-mission-worth-credits but if you want to make it yourself you have to grind for months. This must be a bug or forgotten feature.

Ok to add to this thread :
Resort and spa are busts. They only have one panel in the lounge. Lodgings is the real stuff, they have a panel in each room and one in the lounge.

Not sure fixing this one issue requires a flat x3 change to mats. A lot of the process so far has been absolutely fine. This is the one major bottleneck to date imo.
It will not fix the issue, but that would be a start. The fact that it was already true for Horizon, but not taken as the base for EDO is weird ?

I'm also struggling to find the cat meme to unlock the other guy. I thought I'd do them both at the same time, but no luck.

What I'm saying is it's overkill. x3 would make a lot of other stuff too fast.

It's also a really bad thing that they did this and never got around to actually addressing the issue and just went "yeh that'll do". The whole thing was badly handled. It's not a good fix.

Also, if it was x3, I'd still only have 15...

And cat media (or the other stuff) is the same. I got them from the same locations. Just only about 5 in total I think. There are ways to make it better and I guess I've said a few. My main one would be change the unlock requirement to something specific. Like "complete 15 covert missions" or " complete 20 scavenger kill missions" etc. It's a long task but it'd be a ton more fun than hunting RNG cat media.

No doubt there are ways, but they are too busy fixing the game so it works, and then making sure it works on console to, to do that stuff. At least, properly. We will have to bear what we have in regard to engineer for some time.

I only came here to say to OP that I loved Midwinter and all of Microprose games (if that's how you spell it)

Played it around the same time I played Elite 2 : frontier and First encounters as a kid.

if every was x3, nobody would ever touch xeno(did 3 plants tonight and got 740k, the amount of running is numbing though), bounced around doing crashes and such, have a planet with 4 IMs(2 t2 2 t1), so thats alot of hush and laz... how do i sell these anyway.

This is one major bottleneck
The other is bolted on mods. Requiring to engineer more suits/weapons and craft more mods.
And getting a suit or an weapon to G5 costs insane number of materials, then you bolt on it some mods... then you realize that, well... you should have used other mods on it

So i'm not even sure that 3x multiplier on engineering materials is enough.
It should be That plus a reduced materials on blueprints

For example:
This are the materials needed to G5 long range a 5A FSD. May look like a lot, but actually you need 3 DWE - can be scanned outside any station, and getting 3 should be a less than 30 minutes job, Chemical Manipulators takes even less. And rest are lower grade and can be easily traded
And then you can put this G5 FSD in any ship that can accommodate it
Then compare it with the requirements for a single G5 weapon mod. That is bolted on.
And i dont even have the compiled requirements to upgrade a suit/weapon to G5, but there are a lots and lots of materials involved...

G5 Long Range FSD (9x G5 rolls, 4x G4, 3x G3, 2x G2, 1x G1)
Atypical Disrupted Wake Echoes: 3
Chemical Processors: 5
Phosphorus: 3
Strange Wake Solutions: 3
Chemical Distillery: 4
Eccentric Hyperspace Trajectories: 4
Manganese: 4
Arsenic: 9
Chemical Manipulators: 9
Datamined Wake Exceptions: 9

Greater Range: Improves the weapon's effective range.
