Population kinda moves around with the community goals and other events.

Right now there's a biggish group hovering around Sothis. There's always some action around the Lave/Leesti cluster, too.

Why the animosity.. ? I think the way the community coalesced around Jita in Eve was awesome. Imho it made the whole universe feel more "real", people came to it originally because of it's location as it was an excellent place to sell goods geographically and maybe reputation second, thing is it was a "natural" thing not forced by the developers. In real life towns and centre's of community start the same way. Place gets built because of geographical reasons, near a resource, with good transport, i.e. on a river etc.. I hope that there is enough places in ED that might be able to create the "natural" growth of something like this as I do worry procedural generation doesn't provide the "right" conditions to encourage Jita type "events"

Ha! I thought this post was about where is the actual Jita system in ED, which is funny to me because that's my home system, for pretty much no reason at all. Not a lot going on there, I just happened to end up around there in my FDL, and now can't really be bothered to take it anywhere else because the ship has the equivalent long range capabilities of a coma patient.

I had no idea it was a well known system in EVE.
