When I look back at my time in EVE, the only 2 things I hated there were A)Subscription fee B)Combat mechanics Everything Else on the other hand is waaay few steps beyond ED 1) Economy, it's player driven and every single pilot has an impact on it... If you want you can monopolize market... If you want you can produce your own ships... Right now in ED, the market is well, non -existent. " Buy biowaste in one place, haul it to another ain't economy" it's just something to keep everyone busy before they get corvettes and start an anarchy of combat everywhere...
2) PVE content... Again I'd say EVE wins there... Simply because there is more variety of missions and you spend less time "searching" enemies or "scooping cargo"
3)And my favorite - Secret Complexes Hunt ... In eve it's mainly called exploration, but it's all about treasure hunt... There are secret complexes scattered all over EVE, they spawn and despawn randomly. Finding one is hard , competition is fierce. To complete one you need the best dedicated ship and hardware, the reward is enough treasure to buy pretty much any of Eve ships from just one mission or enough to pay the subscription with in game cash...
These are the things ED lacks, as much as I hate EVE, it was a relationship of Love and Hate... I want one here now
