Do they all have jet cones ingame? I just stumbled across two (2) white dwarfs in the last few minutes, and they both had jets.
Why do they have jet cones? As far as I know White Dwarfs don't really have jets in real life.
Pulsars (neutron stars) have jets because of the collapse of a massive star into a smaller core increases the spin, like when a dancer spins around on their foot and retract their arms to spin faster.
White dwarfs come from smaller stars like our sun, which don't collapse. They just expand into red giants and shed their outer layers.
Not even all neutron stars have cones either. You have slower spinning neutron stars and also magnetars.
If the game is aiming to be realistic (apart from supercruise and hyperspace travel), I think this should be tweaked. Remove jet cones from white dwarfs, split neutron stars into several subgroups; neutron star, pulsar and magnetar.
Heck, you could probably do something interesting with magnetars as well.
Make them extremely dangerous, so that one might seek to avoid dropping into their systems (although there aren't many of them in the galaxy).
