Who's looking forward to Beyond Chapter 4?

Hoping the new changes to Exploration actually make it enjoyable, rather than a tedious jump-scoop-fest. Also curious to see the new mining mechanics.
Couldn't care less about Sqaudrons, not my thing.
If the new Exploration systems prove to be enjoyable, I'll be starting a venture to circumnavigate the galaxy.

I dropped off ED a while ago and started playing ESO. In my opinion, I find ESO a more enjoyable game to play. ED still feels like the foundations of a good game but isn't there yet. Just checked in here to see what Beyond Q4 has to offer and so far nothing to bring me back yet. That said, it seems there is a lot unannounced so I'll check back again. For me though, I still expect it to be too repetitive and kind of boring even after Q4. But we'll see I guess...

It sounds like a lot of work has been put into this update and it's good to know that Frontier are as passionate about ED as we are (even more so in some cases).
I trust and respect the group of people who visited Frontier HQ last week and their reactions give me a good feeling about this update.

Yes, these people engage their credibility by saying that the improvements / novelties are exciting.
I do not think that they want to sabotage themselves in front of the community.
It would be suicidal for them.

A little healthy hype never does harm. I don't expect anything, i am just very curious, which additions this great game gets. If i don't like them, there are enough other things to do. So yes, looking forward to Q4.
Is this the release that is having all that 'QoL' (Quality of Life) stuff in it? I ask as that is really ALL i've been waiting for since game release.
Who knows? I suspect there may be one or two QoL's but I doubt that there will be enough QoL ot make me happy. I'd like to be wrong of course.
It's a free update so of course I'm looking forward to it. As someone who likes mining in its current iteration, that part of the update is what I am mostly interested in.
As for moving on to other games - I already have, or to put it more correctly, I always play more than just one game, as even the best of them get stale after a while. I have been playing ED for 4 years now (1800+ hours) and I sometimes take extensive breaks from it, but I have and probably never will truly quit it as long as its servers are up and running. There is just no other game that scratches that space-sim itch quite as well as Elite does. I grew bored with NMS after just 90 hours or so and I'm also eagerly anticipating Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw and X4: Foundations, but ED has earned it's place on my system.

It will only be on PC simply because of the cost involved of hosting the Beta for multiple platforms. My guess is that the Beta will be open to anyone on PC. Not enough of the original beta testers still playing the game to properly test it.

Ye Im looking forward to Q4 but not fer the reasons ye state in yer OP. Ill finally have the answer whether or not they fix the game...if they do, then I can play again, if they dont, I can say my final cheerio to this place. The content itself Ive barely given a second thought too and while I follow the threads, dont partake as I literally have no opinion on it, neither good or bad just wait and see. No fixes, no game and any future content is irrelevant ^
I do look forward.
I'm not the biggest Exploration or Mining fan, but I'm interested in the new gameplay and hope it will be fun.
Better lightning/graphics is always appreciated, too.
And ships. I like ships. So more of them is good (Krait Phantom?!)
Looking forward to it. Even more looking forward to their new "milestone" announcements for post-Beyond Q4. I like how "Horizons" was also mentioned by Frontier as just the horizon of bigger and more things to come, just as I'd always felt. Frontier had to survive as a company, so I didn't mind the ps4 port, PC , and JWE delays. ED has already been far more than worth the value in cost along with the Beyond free year updates. Bringing major updates to a complex groundbreaking game takes many months and up to years similar to complex addons that were developed for FSX.

Any new content is welcomed personally I've become numb to the hype train, I spend more time reading these forums than I do in-game. A prolonged abstinence has grown into full time holiday, and now vague interest, well there's better things to do ... I'll wait it out - watch some reviews, patches etc...is this another cosmetic update - possibly, will it alter play style - who knows. I've been meaning to get back into exploration so maybe this is the prompt....
