Who's looking forward to Beyond Chapter 4?

No, not looking forward to the new solar system grind minigame to get the same information as we can get right now with 1 button.

The rest will just be more of nothing. When Fdev announced this year would be free it was obvious elite had been put on hold for a year.

It'll be a massive disappointment but unfortunately there are no good alternative games out there... yet.

OMG.

I seriously think you should have a doctor on speed dial when the beta goes live. Your heart simply won't be able to stand the strain!

I play short time, less then year.
What I liked in this game was flying and use opportunities to gain some easy and fast Cr, even-tho is not worth a dime.
That's just something what gives you possibility to build ships but still they not so cool without grinding and engineering.
FUN was that I can do Cr on Skimmers, Pirate Lords, Wing Transport and Bus.
Unfortunately FDev take it out or block some things and now I visualize that this game is no more interesting for me.
So I like now help Citadel and fight with Gankers on CG, but for that I need Cr, if I can't get them easly it doesnt bring me fun as I know that after weekend, next 5 days I need to repeat same boring things to get Cr on re-buys new modules or new ship.
I can understand all but not this part with Wing Pirate Lords, why the hell max reward was lowered down from 4mln to 2mln and there are only small and medium ships.
Before we got 1 Large ship and 4 or 5 in wing.
For this moment I stopped playing but I look on forum and youtube and wait for something opposite to NERF.
I expect that some day I could earn 100mln in 2hrs only fighting with Humans or Npcs, maybe some kind of fighting tournaments or challenges.

I wasn't initially looking forward to 3.3 since the headline feature was Squadrons. I've had a tad too much patience in the 5.5K hours I've spent in the game on 2 platforms just waiting for FDev to stop squandering the potential of a good game with free to play style multiplayer add-on tat and the seemingly mandatory MMO crafting system from hell.

If squadrons had remained the primary focus along with fleet carriers and more of the pointless...and ever irritating... attempts to justify an MMO tag that will never fit, I'd have pointed my HOTAS back to flying a Heinkel 111 for good.

I still like E-D, as much as I haven't played in months...but I want to get back to liking it the way I did in the first 2 years every time I fired it up on the Xbox; or after I transferred my account to PC and started again.

Practically all of my formerly extensive friends list who played E-D have since long gone onto other games...it was ultimately sad watching the little green beacons of friendship going out all over the galaxy map: Reminiscent of watching long term service mates leaving the Army and heading back to the real world and compulsory anonymity.

As much as I'll be looking forward to the improvements, it's come too late for many...besides the hope those long gone mates might give E-D a second or third chance.

Hope always dies last ;)

Edit: Just noticed my forum 'Elite' tag :D

That's been a loooong time in coming [haha]

When they do crack it, I know what's going to spill out all over the floor. 4 years worth of salt. :) It'll be saltapalooza and thargoids will be dropping dead in space from thargoid heart disease (hur, hur, see whut ah did thar?), and we will win! Winning!! Make Humanity Great Again!

I have been looking forward to it, but am *really* trying not to get hyped......as the hype trains final destination is frequently the town of "Disappointment" ;). I say that because, if you take hype to its obvious conclusion, then *nothing* can ever live up to it! I take this approach with every game that I am looking forward to, btw.

Appropriate management of expectations, very important for a happy and healthy life, kudos to you sir! :D

To me it will go, if the first thing i try do or first mission i try do doesn't work or is beyond stupid like some missions now, i will just close the game and go play something that works and work logically. Not going to go through another update if it doesn't work. Too many issues came in 3.0 update that made fundamental changes but rendered a lot of the content unplayable after the update and still not fixed.

I more looking at where the hypetrain does, and following cautiously behind, than jumping on the first wagon.

Been there, done that too many times with ED.

Cautious optimism and mild excitement for me.

Really enjoying the large range of gameplay in 3.x so far, having even more will be cool.

Mostly I'm looking forward to more story progression as it's slowed down recently - understandably we won't know much about that until it gets to the full launch, so keeping an open mind until then, and hoping Mining isn't too good/distracting :)

I will definitly be very distracted by mining. XD. Sweet pristing place with nice vista. Good relaxing music and time will fly.

I hope we'll get something more visual in term of thargoid progression and invasion. This could be gold.

I'm definitely on the meh... side of things, feeling distinctly un-enthused since the announcement of the "prioritization" of various features. Was also looking forwards to what the "premium content" was going to be because I wanted a good reason to spend some more money and support a game I love yet feel is very stale and stagnated right now. It's odd, since the Important Community Update I haven't seen anyone speculating about the "form of free store content" that will be going out to LEPers is going to be, I guess expectations for that are suitably non existent.

While the cutting of content from 3.3 isn't exactly a disaster signalling the death of the game it has effectively killed my anticipation for the "big" update, I think along with how little the last update offered me in terms of how long it got me playing again.

I'll probably fire up ED sometime after chapter 4 hits, but not right away. Old bugs are all but guaranteed to pop back up again, as has been the case in every update and the new bugs will be all too evident while FD claims that they can't replicate them once again (along with asking for screenshots and such that have already been included). I'm seriously tired of that routine.

Once the forums indicate that things are relatively stable, I'll look into giving it another try.

So, looking forward? Not really. Certainly not excited about anything ED any more. Maybe curious as to how things will eventually turn out. Time will tell.
