The death of one mad scientist isnt enough to end INRA.
Though, interestingly, while this was a high-profit mining CG and the Alliance one was a low-profit trade CG, the actual profitability wasn't all that different and someone optimising for maximum profit would come out ahead on the trade CG at the higher tiers [1]But delivering without signing in would be asking for hundreds of casual players to work together in that direction, extending the CG duration. It was the same for the Tritium CG and it also didn't happen there where the money rewards were much higher.
My comment about CMDRs moving for profits was more a comparison to the Alliance AX CG before this one, that barely reached T2.
Inara says 634t for bottom of top 10%, which disregarding costs of limpets and fuels, and assuming that they were pure Osmium, would be about 240 million credits (230 for the ores, 10 for the tier bonus)
The Alliance trade CG would haul about 20kT for bottom of top 10%, profit of ~9.5k/T on Titanium, is 190 million credits profit (discounting travel costs) plus another 8 million tier bonus.
Flat out with short trips (possibly carrier-assisted) I'd reckon 4kT/hour for trade ... and unless you happened to have a suitable Osmium map already or were very well practised, I think 100t/hour would be reasonable for mining where you're only looking for a single commodity. So the trade might be slightly faster but probably not enough to make a difference.I think the metric should be credit/hour. But I guess 634T mining without maps or hotspots and 20kT with a T9 is more or less the same time? 6h? Or would mining go faster?
