I used 3 HD boosters instead of 2. Never felt comfortable sacrificing An HD booster for a resistant one.
Never tried Prismatics before. I don’t want to spend a month working for the Disney Princess and be exiled from my Federal home system for all that time. Plus, I heard the power requirements were enormous.
A resistant booster on top of thermal shields will net you x1.3 shields, which is multiplicative with the HD stuff.
In short : once adding one more +70% booster nets you 30% or less total shield, a resistant booster will be worth it.
making the 3rd or 4th booster resistant is usually worth it.
Also : x1.3 shield from the resistance also applies to the SCB's, in effect boosting the SCB effect by +30%. If using a lot
of those make resistant boosters more attractive.
I use 2 resistant boosters with bi-weave thermal. 285 MJ and 570 effective, with super fast recharge.
