Why do the Crews look so ugly? FD please help!

I understand that your main interest at the moment is the work on 3.4 -- nevertheless, isn't it possible at least to give a tiny hint if this topic which is in the interest of so many cmdrs was noticed by you?

I think it is more accurate to say this subject has been broached so many times with zero response from the developer that we are all somewhat tired of repeatedly responding to it.

Really? Bumping your own thread and including text manipulation that makes it look ultra-entitiled? You think that will make F D pay more attention?

Have a look at how many threads here actually get a Dev response then ask if a text-tantrum is liable to help. (It is bad enough that you choose to include an icon in the thread title in the first place.)

No matter where you go, always hoping to catch something "pretty" - you get disappointed. Ugliness wherever you look, male or female. I don't want that in my fighter, I want to have either a more realistic (and a bit sexy) looking man or a woman there. FD, you can do that, example is our prevented bride Ms. Aisling Duval!

In our German forum I have started a thread about this topic which was greatly appreciated. Many Cmdrs have contributed and the vast majority agreed with my proposal.

FD, please program pretty looking crews and enable us to design and dress/undress them in "Holo Crew" as well, e.g. matching the Cmdr's outfit. A hot fighter crew member should also be looking hot. They should also be visible in the cockpit on the co-pilot's seat all the time she/he is activated.

They haven't gone through the "procedure" yet...

Though I suspect most members of the Pilot's Federation look more akin to Stanley Tweedle

In all fairness, this complaint has been offered many times in the past. The variation in models is pretty weak. I wonder if the portraits are hard coded, or generated in the way commander portraits are generated.

I agree... this is the future... there is no excuse for being ugly! I have hired and immediately fired crew just so the roster would refresh. I would repeated this action until I found someone that didn't look like they fell face first into a bowl of acid.

Yeah, the pilots are the ugliest people in the universe. How about just giving us a normal distribution of looks. Most of the pilots look like the mythical medusa and could turn opponents to stone just by looking at them. Either make the pilots capable of that or give us pilots that aren't out of a horror movie.

Thinking about it... Their uglyness may be the culprit for the pilots to not survive destruction... FD is probably thinking along the "good riddance" lines.

They’re English and the English in general sorta look like that. Also, it’s a very low life expectancy job. Most of these mugs are down and out. They also quite clearly lie on their resumes.

BTW, I've both found and hired "pretty SLF pilots" in the past, but I found their voice lines to be annoying. There was this one guy who had the perfect voice and spoken lines, and that ended up being my favorite pilot. I don't even remember what he looked like, because he never left the SLF. Now once our NPC crew can actually visit us on the bridge, then I'll at least want them to look like normal human beings instead of looking like this:
