For pete's sake - what is it with people - every thread i look at, if someone gets killed by a player - then the "world is full of losers and cheats etc".
Why does no-one say that when they are killed by AI, so you got killed by someone, it is not like your game gets erased! You don't have physical mobs outside your house waiting to evict you!, you don't have a delay logging back on, no 'starting from scratch' - its agame!! we play it because it has all the correct elements that keep us entertained, fear, delight, wow.....etc.
I get it, getting killed at all is frustrating because you have to go back to the "effective" checkpoint, without the cargo and/or exploration data.....but what have you actually lost?
You enjoyed collecting the data as the views are spectacular, the next trade run will recover what you lost and then you are on your way again.
You enjoyed playing the game! I played Zombie Trilogy recently and to make it tricky - i pitched the campaign as if there were three players rather than just me, it lobs Zombies at you like no tomorrow and is nigh on impossible, I die - and go back to the checkpoint, die again....and again - but eventually make it to the next check point and that is entertaining....
that is the challenge, get where you are going without getting shot, if you do - great, if not have another go - why do you care so much if its a player or not that is what the game is about.
I am thinking of becoming a player killer, so that I can kill enough commanders that the wingers sod off to a quiet part of the galaxy (or solo) so I don't have to keep reading....(meowing voice) oh some commander shot me, its not fair
ARRRRRRRRR
