Why it's not a big deal that i'm no longer playing Elite Dangerous

In DRG I just find the gunplay mediocre...

DRG combat revolves around managing to survive while you get the job done, so the lower difficulty levels make it feel very meh. Haz 3 is normal difficulty. Haz 1 and 2 are snooze mode for people who don't know how to play FPS. Judging DRG combat on anything less than Haz 3 in a team just doesn't work. DRG is an FPS of sorts, but gunplay isn't it's focus.

No, after pointing out that I'm not a kid of any kind, let alone one playing on a console, I further pointed out that your earlier comments about Elite being a 'pc game' because it was only on pc for the first year of its life were absolute codswallop, but you're clearly desperate to claim a win here and I don't care enough to waste my time arguing with you.
Well, you did agreed with me. You got upset I called console players "kids" because your 50 and you only added that Elite is no more PC game since 6 and a "half" years ago.
I'm not much younger then you are so keep those numbers in your pocket. ;)

"Hello everyone!

This is not a rant. I am a big fan of ED, just like you all!

[Insert platitudes]

Play Star Citizen!"

I have legit never seen such evangelizing in any community other than SC. Literally every conceivably space game forum has these posts. NASA launched a mission? People tweet at them saying."wow, so cool, like Star Citizen!". News article about bitcoin? "Omg so revolutionary, like Star Citizen!" You dont see ED, NMS, X4, Space Engineers or whatever players do this. It's always Star Citizen missionaries spreading the good word.

Its creepy. Even if I wouldn't know all the reasons why to stay miles away from it this would already be a big red flag in my book.

But yeah, you can play any game you want. Thanks for the heads-up.

DRG is a coop shooter with emphasis on fun. 4 dwarves mine in asteroid and do contract work. Each can be one of 4 roles. Maps are procedural, kinda prefab tilee features stick together but not really alway the same. Terrain is fully destructible so you can alway go and just mine through rock - if you know where to go. It's essentially caverns you explore and mine ore for mission and ammo with special events and beer chugging in between - for Karl.

Playing just one game is really boring. If you're like me you cycle between your games - a month with this one, two months with that one, cycling through them. When the current one gets boring you move on to another. You don't quit it or necessarily uninstall it, you just shelve it until it's turn in the cycle comes around again.

Well, some you uninstall. It can be nerfs you don't agree with, patches that alter the game too much from what you loved, sudden performance issues, or a number of other personal reasons. But for me the majority of my games remain installed just not played until their turn in the cycle, which is basically whenever I feel like it.

Since 2014 I've spent many more years not playing elite than playing it. So preach.

PS I still get called a fanboy.

That's how I do it, too.

Best part may just be the devs. They know what we miners want. Everytime they release content, which is regular, it is always everything we could have wanted. They have an actual roadmap, and a Discord where they actually interact with us too! It's a dream dev team, honestly.

For me it's the sound synergy between the classes. This is coop done right and the whole thing is in the best tradition of L4D2, with new mechanics on top. It's easy to have a good time and when you fail a mission everyone wakes up with a headache.

You still seem to have missed the fact that I don't actually play on console, or even own one, so what I said has nothing to do with being 'upset'.

that is how it supposed to be from the beginning, make sure core game (PC) is working properly. this is a PC game first of all. consoles always should be 2nd priority.
I responded because you were writing guff like that (not to mention at least one post that's been deleted since last night and a thread too unless I'm mistaken) and then backing it up with your 'but... but... the 1990s!' argument. Thing is, it isn't the 90s any more and this game has been a multi-platform game for the vast majority of its lifespan precisely because gaming has moved on since then. It's just rude, dismissive and divisive to tell a significant sector of the playerbase that they should accept being a 'second priority'. Perhaps it wasn't your intent to come across like that but it read like typical pc master race garbage from the PS1 era.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have an appointment with my dinner.

is my statement "that is how it supposed to be from the beginning, make sure core game (PC) is working properly. this is a PC game first of all. consoles always should be 2nd priority." wrong or right ?
shouldn't Frontier take care of PC (core) first and put consoles on 2nd plan ?
I think you got yourself light headed there. Enjoy your dinner, make sure your don't eat your 2nd plate as your first. ;)
