Thargoid tech is a nice idea and has a huge scope for varying gameplay, but considering from an NPCs point of view that my ships are already something out of nightmares that should never have been unleashed upon the galaxy (just like any other player who has unlocked more than a couple of engineers), some rebalancing is going to be needed or those elite pirate assassinations are going to be 10 second point, click, kill jobs.
Thinking about it, this is probably why after all the work to get guardian tech, you don't have anything that is any better at killing anything other than thargoids.
They are already point click kill jobs, naff all an NPC can throw at you can take out an engineered 'vette.
Problem is to allow the organic tech of Thargoids interface with the anorganic tech we use. I guess one could apply some concepts of cybertechnology to this, effectively giving anorganic systems organic implants. Inverted cybertech? Could check with the Guardians who were quite advanced with implants and then use their discoveries to apply on Thagoid tech. But: Would Thargoid organics be happy by being connected to our ships with Guardian interfaces?
I hear what you are saying, but we have a material in game, an eningeering component, that I hapd hoped would facilitate such interfaces... "biotech conductors".
