Why no Thargoid Tech?

Just thinking about the next community goal and all the Guardian tech we have adapted....

After all the data and stuffs collected from the Thargoids, how come we have not adapted any of their tech?

Just wondered...I mean i'd like to have their tractor beam for starters :)

That's a good point cmdr, after all, we got Guardian stuff from items collected from their sites........maybe Ram Tah is a Thargoid sympathizer:eek:

Isn't the FSD a derivative of Thargoid tech? I'm sure I read that somewhere not so long ago.

In keeping with the intentions of the conversation starter, I'd quite like the ability to knock out target ships power in an instant when spanking haz-res. That's the only Tharg characteristic I admire for the time being.

We should have a special "Parasite" ship that attaches to a goid's brain stem. Now you're my sock puppet, precious goid. Make it so, FDEV.
Ooh, I like it. Kinda like that fungus that inhabits an ant's brain and basically turns it into a zombie?

Even better, make a hybrid Thargoid Zombie Invader limpet controller, which turns say, a Thargoid scout into a temporary remote telepresence ship like a SLF.

I was thinking of a specific episode of "Futurama" but your idea might be more technically sound.

this.

realistically, the goids were designed as OP, high level deus ex machina type NPC's. I don't think we CAN get much of the goid tech without completely screwing game balance.

...you think that drag munitions fiasco was bad, see what happens when you introduce the shutdown pulse, or thrusters that allow ships to fly like space ships rather than airplanes in space!

I do think that at some point players may get to play as thargoids and fly scouts....but not the interceptors.

Bill Turner claimed this, but the INRAR Research logs state Thargoid Drives were worm hole based and complete different from Human Drivers; that we don't see Thargoids in Super cruise, which is what the FSD does, is evidence supporting the INRAR claims over Bill's
That would make researching Thargoid Tech priority #1. You'd be 1 jump away from Beagle point... while looking at Earth!
We'd be looking at unlimited jump range, opening other galaxies.

So, YES! Start working on capturing that goid ship and start tearing it apart.

Oh. I see now: This is Raxxla. The Dark Wheel are Thargoids!

If I remember correctly, the "Guardian's" are considerably older than both Thargoids and Humans, thus any and all technology utilized by either Thargoid's or Humans are actually Guardian technology.

Well Jaque's Jump seems to suggest with enough prep a Jump from Earth to Beagle point is possible with Current Capital Class Drives (There is a conflict in information provided as to if they use FSD derived tech or the Pre FSD Hyperdrives)

I believe, reading the Guardian logs, the Thargoids seeded Guardian Space with Barnacles before the Guardians had space flight, suggests the Thargoids older.
