I'm long past playing CGs for credits (though I do like decal rewards), so I'm just as likely to haul 32 tons of cargo in my Mamba in Open as I am to haul 732 tons in my T9 in PG or Solo. If I do go to Solo, it's more likely because a crowded station lags terrible and can give me a headache in VR.

well, i personally can say, if i like to play cats&mouse, which i sometimes do, a CG in open is the perfect place to do so. blockade running. if i just want to haul some tons there, not.

both require some effort. both are fun in a different way. very different pacing. very different gaming. totally unrelated to a nice srv or eagle duel, which is also fun.

well, it has always been a grind contest
if you fancy strategy there's the bgs or pp (i.e. planned grind competitions of your own)
if you want action pvp your best bet is consensual fights (probably after you grind your eyes out)
if everything fails, you can always abjure from this wicked galactic pandemia we call humanity and get lost in the black

i get your point, but this has never been the game you want, there are so many problems preventing it to be and they've been discussed so often that there's really little point in beating that horse again. enjoy it for what it is or don't is all i can say.

I pretty much agree. There should be a bonus for playing in Open, yet there is actually a penalty. Absurd.

open is the best way to play this game.,. i would rather get rid of PGs and SOLO.
and no bonus for being open, just reduce what INF & REP and CG contributions are in PG & SOLO. oh and power play merits being earned in PG & SOLO also.

lets make open be where everyone is. its great at busy stations

madness. get rid of open.. come dont be silly.

A penalty for the other two modes is functionally equivalent to a bonus for Open.

Then there's the fact that Frontier have been quite clear that the BGS is for all players on all platforms, regardless of game mode or platform - and that the only game feature that they would even consider undertaking an investigation where one of the outcomes might have been Open only / Open bonus is Powerplay.

SOLO is silly... its like being in a PG on your own.
may as well just have PG and get rid of SOLO

each CMDR can make their own PG
