Why not just close open play fdev?

Celebrating the promotion of risk free gameplay. Why take on a challenge when it's more effective and more efficient to grind out the same monotonous activity for a faster return in a solo play space?

And they say it's the gankers that are anti-social!
Ganker are the ones playing risk free gameplay .

How do you people manage to grind? I just cant do it. On the rare occasion I dont get distracted for a week with something else while trying to grind, I last a few minutes or trips or missions or whatever and I get bored and do something else instead. I must admire the dedication it takes to grind, the sheer willpower to keep on doing something that is boring and ignores all the things I find interesting instead. Keep going people, blaze your own trail!

Cheddar cheese with Christmas Cake - Try it before dissing it, which gives me 3 months for everyone to forget about it, nah its nice, can do with stilton or a smellier cheese but a blander one like cheddar works fine.

I like cheese and cake I wouldn’t have thought the more complex flavours of Stilton and Christmas cake would work I will have to try it next time we have Christmas.

Gankers shoot at each other too, you realise. Something about being in a PvP hotspot means you get involved in all sorts of PvP activities, not just one type.
Wow sorry , but i dont really call gank PvP , it is indeed player to player interaction , but as long as one of each dont wanna fight and dont have toolz for that i call that PVE with human factor.

San tu is well known for pvp , i respect that. CG are known for gank . Dont call that pvp , you can battle with people anytime , but little shieldless traders ? Only at CG !

It's a vicious circle - the gankers are anti-social (towards those outside their cliques), attacking for "reasons" - and no-one needs to continue to play with them in a game where PvP remains an optional extra....
Gankers aren't any more or less anti-social than other players, they just like making hollow squares go boom. Try having a conversation with one as equals, you'll learn a lot.

Any heavy fruit cake works (but brandy-soaked xmas cake is best), even with stronger flavoured cheeses. If the cake is getting a bit dry around the edges, pop it under the grill with cheese on until the cheese goes bubbly... wait for it to cool below molten before consumption (y)

The first couple of days of a CG, for a PvPer, is mostly PvP groups shooting at each other in instances with few and far between traders as a result of how the game handles instancing and friend lists.

Ganking and "real" PvP are not mutually exclusive activities, by individual or location.

I would suggest that those who go out of their way to impose their play-style, unasked, directly on other players are more anti-social - especially when some seem to revel in the "salt" it generates. YMMV.

I tend to think of ganking as PvV(ictim).

Players in open aren't obliged to carefully explain their motivation for their interaction with you while you're sitting watching a 15 second menu log timer count down. If you don't want the risk of PvP, I presume that's why you click on private group or solo instead of open when logging in. That's as far as it goes.

Indeed they are not - however they are not in control of how their targets respond to their attentions. Some will menu exit, some will block, some will use another mode - all within the rules of the game.

Which is of course why the best game design celebrates and rewards gameplay that is risk free, socially isolated, repetitive grinds as a substitute for meaningful content and interactions.
