"Abuse"...ah you crack me up

Wow. You SERIOUSLY have NO short term memory do you? Or do you regularly delude yourself and forget things just so you can feel good?
No, that doesn’t cut it with me. I’m not the type to ever just roll over and accept what is without at least trying to better it. I get that you enjoy the game and that’s great, but I don’t understand why you have such a problem with other criticizing the game if you just accept what comes anyway.
I’m not a professional writer but I do enjoy it and I think it’s absolutely imperative for others to be hypercritical of my works especially before I’ve completed them. It’s a definite punch to the gut sometimes but in the end I’m usually better for it. I don’t see ED as some abstract peice of work that’s left to interpretation. It has a purpose, a vision, and at one point a plan. I would hope FD is professional enough to take even the heaviest criticisms and learn from them.
I'm not a professional writer ether and it only takes me a few seconds to tear apart a post I take issue with, pick out the bits I take umbrage with, and spin up a reply in 5 minutes. The longer more articulate the posts, the more time it takes but rarely do I spend more then 30 minutes doing so.
I have spent 18 months on this forum and have read all these topics we are talking about already. Hell even after a year of absence, nothing has changed. This is probably the 16th topic I've seen about how people need to accept the 'criticism' levied at the game. And all this after numberless topics of said criticism.
I mean for god's sake, this is the third topic THIS WEEK I've had to point out the issues I take with 'critics'. Or at least I would believe so because there's been so many they're starting to run together in one giant blur.
A good deal of these 'critics' aren't. They sit back and harp on how much they hate the game because it doesn't do X or isn't like game Y. They want to have their pet ideas J, K, and L, implemented because 'it would make game better'.
I take problem with this because I don't want Elite to do what game Y does. Otherwise I'd go play game Y instead. Pet ideas J and K are already in the game. But because Elite doesn't hold your hand and point them out do you, you'll miss it. (And don't expect me to agree to hand holding. After YEARS of nothing but linear themepark games and sandbox-lite open world games, having a game that is true sandbox and lets me explore things for myself to figure out how they work is... well I don't think the word I want to use is proper for this forum.)
Pet idea L, is such a horrific unimaginable mess that not only are elements of it already in the game but the other ones clash so harshly with how Elite operates that it would destroy the elements already present in Elite Dangerous.
Almost two years of the same white noise offering nothing new and even after a year of absence, it's like I never left.
I don't even feel the desire to criticize the game. The game has enough 'critics' already and one more isn't going to magically make Elite the game everyone wants it to be. Hell Elite already is the game I want it to be. A game about piloting a spaceship and exploring the galaxy. Seeing strange new worlds. Meeting new people. And killing them. Everything else? Bonus Gravy.
I don't offer many new suggestions because I don't want to add to the sea of garbage that most 'suggestions' are. I want to take the time to carefully think about what could help Elite Dangerous and design a concept that doesn't interfere with how the game works and is original enough that it doesn't exist in any form. And try to think about ways it could be abused and how to overcome that before I submit it.
One idea was the the Mayday System.
It was buried instantly by four pages of "Whaaaa! Elite Dangerous is too hard because of the new C&P! I quit!" posts.
So maybe you can see why I'm a little jaded.
....but they have done nothing to change the way the game fundamentally plays.

However by making such sweeping changed to the fundamentals have caused so much whine and salt you'd think people didn't WANT changes to the fundamentals. Terminator NPCs after 2.1 gave NPC's Engineered bits. (To this day the Dangerous, Deadly, and Elite ranked NPC's STILL have some of those terminator changes.) And a new more complex C&P that enforce consequences.
