[up] Yay!

Mate, I think it's fair to say your use case is somewhat... niche.
This is true, however, since FD doesn't publish important data, such as mining yields, weapon multipliers and all that other juicy theorycrafting number crunching business, and stuff like that, it's just as well people like Mr Lizard exist to do that legwork for us, it's also good that ED's logs are quite detailed.
Not only is this something that shouldn't have been removed, it shows a lack of thought process in doing so. Once again, it's evidence that the decision makers don't seem to actually play the game.
As stated, a simple auto ignore function solves the issue in one step and is something that should have been implemented for beyond.
read above, its a bug mate.
That auto ignore while capacity for certain material is full would be a great idea to pitch to fd. Or an ignore list actually make it easier to unignore
hehehehe, No!Give me a chance to edit!!

Read again. Missing auto ignore is a bug. Removing discard was a patch feature.

To clarify - when the bug preventing auto-ignore on full material inventory gets fixed, this would render the manual ignore option somewhat redundant, would it not?
Thanks for letting us know. How about a public bug list, that shows issues more or less detailed. Then people wouldn't waste their time in-game and on this forum dealing with stuff that is already known.Hello Commanders!

Thanks Sandro.

So to streamline coding and gameplay further, you could also ditch the manual ignore function, just as you have understandably ditched the discard function.
Cheers.

No. It is extremely vital to miners - who can use it to permanently ignore trash minerals.
It also makes the refinery hopper auto vent ignored minerals in case a fragment contains an ignored and a not ignored mineral.
I don't think you used the word 'understandably' appropriately in that sentence, please let me explain.
It has caused an issue and was a bad decision. It may be a niche issue but it's an issue nonetheless. Mr Lizard is one of the foremost mining theorycrafters, responsible for producing tons of mining stats and guidance spreadhseets for all who 'do mining', if something prevents theorycrafters like he, working on behalf of the rest of us to figure out the secrets of the math behind the game, then it is definitely a shame and a step backward.

This is exactly my concern.Course, that requires that you remember which mat's you've ignored.
I suspect it'll be common for people to fill up mat's, ignore them, use some of the mat's and then suddenly realise the stockpile isn't getting replenished because the mat' is still on the ignore-list.
Exactly. Thanks!Like This?
