Why we need Aoudad/Barbary Sheep

I want the aoudad and an asian caprine.

In general, my measure for every animal group in the game is:
1. Do we have a rep for all possible biomes?
2. Do we have a rep for all possible continents?
3. If the answer to 2 is yes - do we have a rep for all regions?

For one and 2 we need a hot climate caprine, an african caprine, and an asian caprine.

Any combination of aoudad/nubian ibex and markhor/takin does the job for me.

We all have our favourite animals. I really want Musk Ox.
Followed by Takin and Markhor (for my Himalayan area with Brown Bear and Snow Leopards...also some Wild Yak would be awesome).

Then I would personally say European Mouflon/European Chamois, since Africa already has so much more representation than Europe. It would be nice to give Europe some more species.

I would settle for Bighorn Sheep, since they are iconic North American animals and common in North American zoos. I would love to build Rocky Mountain habitats for cougars or Bighorn sheep.

My list would probably be:

1) Musk Ox
2) any Takin
3) Markhor
4) European Mouflon (or Chamois)
5) Bighorn Sheep

Mouflons have the prettiest eyes!

I remember being 9 years old and going to a German nature park, we could walk among the MOufflons there, it became my favorite animal for a long period of time, those horns are just so impressive!! We could also walk among the Chamois, but those were so shy, we never saw them lol

I met one and he was so angry.. im glad he was behind a fence. They are so cool.

The Aoudad Is very different to the caprids that wey have in the game, plus, they live in the deserts, I seen them a lot of times in zoos, and the mouflon is my second "goat/sheep" that I want in the game, another animal that i've seen a lot of times, in fact my local zoo has a big hábitat, with mouflons, Red Deer, Axis deer, Gaurs and water buffalos, Is really beatiful, but Is only muy personal preferens because i never seen IRL Takins and Markhor and i definitely wouldn't mind if they were added to the game, each animal is an addition to what we already have

What about African dwarf goat. It's African, hoy weather and part of the family that includes general goats. Which we don't have a general goat yet.

As I've said before, I'm all for the aoudad! They're really the only caprine I'd be excited for at this point given things like takins and markhors, as cool as they are, still don't provide me with a caprine species I can actually use in local builds and also don't offer much difference from the goats we currently have in regards to biomes.

As much as I want them though, I don't know if they have much of a chance of being added. In a mountains pack they are likely to be shafted by more popular caprine species, and while I think they have more of a chance in a deserts/drylands pack I also think they're more likely to be left out in favour of more requested ungulates like addax, peccaries and dromedary camels. Hope I'm wrong though!

I often find it amusing that we discuss potential animals with the assumption that Animal X means we won't get Animal Y. Since both X and Y are purely hypothetical, they have the exact same likelihood of being included. Wanting the aoudad does not, for example, mean that the markhor or takin as less chance of making it in. This is also because the "expiry date" of the game is also purely hypothetical.

That said, I like the aoudad. Although it's not an animal I'm personally familiar with (NZ zoos lack wild caprines completely, even though our mountains are full of introducesd chamois and tahr), I can envision myself using it in my zoos.

Theoretically, every time an animal of one group is added it makes sense that it lowers the chances of similar animals being added. With that said Frontier broke all patterns already so who knows.

Yes, but once we get Animal X, we can then determine whether Animal Y is more or less likely. When both are purely hypothetical (e.g. aoudad or markhor) it really doesn't matter. So if we learned the aoudad or the markhor was in the next pack, then we might be able to say, "Bummer, I should have voted for the other guy".

Dingo - Dhole
Gibbon 1 - Gibbon 2

Already proved that they add almost-the-same species in packs close or even next to each other.

If we wish for the aoudad, takin and markhor hard enough, spam facebook and youtube with their three names, their chances increase, after this game was released I spammed facebook with the cassowary wish, maybe it made it over the more common Emu because of that, or create a new account named Aoudad, you see what my name did for Fossa lol j/k

I want more goats. More caprids. Just more of these weird dudes. People gave the Dall Sheep too much sh*t for being one of the coolest goats out there. I want all of them. Chamois? Merci Beaucomp. Mouflon? Bring it on. Takin? I can tak-it-in and give it a nice home. Markhor? I hardly know her. Mountain Goat? Damn right he is. Bighorn Sheep? Well it's certainly that season. Aoudad? More like Aou-daddy. I want them all.

I think the Dall sheep is very cool. The reason why I barely use them is because of their cold requirements.

Personally, if we were to get another sheep, like the mouflon or bighorn sheep, it'd make the Dall sheep's inclusión even better, in my opinion

Dall Sheep grow on me, but I'd rather had both the Bighorn sheep or Moufflon (dall sheep like horns) and the Mountain Goat (white fur) I think both these sheep/goats/antelopes/whatevers have little chance now the Dall Sheep is in the game.

Not necessarily. We typically have at least 2 of everything in the game, some cases have 3...

So, just because we have the Dall sheep doesn't mean we won't get a 2nd sheep; in fact, I bet that if we were to get a 2nd, hotter climate species (like the mouflon or bighorn sheep), then the Dall sheep would only be better since that's our cold climate equivalent
