Has fuel scooping been "tweaked"? I have a set routing for scooping, which has worked since Day Dot. Today, more often than not, I end up with a proximity warning and almost flying into the sun.

Also, heat warnings generate smoke from the console at 100%, rather than 120%+ they did prior to today, and result in hull damage. Again this differs from pre 1.2 update.

and how the does one get rid of that ing annoying Comms Interface that was introduced today!!!!!!

Wing Invite Bug : Developers Note NB NB

Ok,

So we have duplicated an earlier discussed bug in the thread.. A South African, Czech Republic and US timezone attempt to form a wing. The US time zone player is struggling 90% of the time to join the wing. In this particular scenario the European player has no problem connecting to the South African.

We attempted in Private group with no success and in Open Play it was possible but very rarely for the US player to join.

This is definitely one that the coders will need to look at as there must be some vulnerability in the net code.

Kind Regards,

Zefninja

I don't know if it's easier per se, you just don't lose as much money. You could still run out of fuel :p. But yeah, I'd like to see a bit lesser scaling for repairs. IMO, it's kinda rediculous to pay crap tons of credits to get your more expensive ship repaired from 96% to full health. I know they talked about doing it but I've got no idea if it's already implented or not, my apologies if I'm beating a dead horse.

Like i say my fuel bill went from 20k+ ea way on a trade run to 243 :) Kind of makes it a bit easier. While fingers crossed i havent had any 'incidents' since 1.2+ so i cant test the damage costs, i believe new changes are in now and dependant on your rep with the station you are getting repaired at mate. Saw somewhere the %s in reduction but cant remember at the moment.

Should read the patch notes for 1.2 mate. Damage is now at 100% heat but for me my heat is generally lower and even while scooping at max i rarely get above 65%! Im finding the opposite in terms of danger. Fuel scooping especially at max scoop rate has never been easier!

Yeah, it's really easy to scoop now. Max I've hit was 75% heat while getting the highest amount of fuel possible. Before you had to watch the heat gauge more closely :p

ever since 1.2 update yesterday 2/10/15 I can not get upgrade to work i bin hitting upgrade button bar go up and stop.

It appears ED is getting dumbed down in preparation for the console ;) I have a T9 and its ridiculous to pay 150 for fuel.... Thats what a scoop is for, or was. Now its just for exploring. Anyone with a large ship can afford the fuel. As a previous poster suggested just make the fuel tanks much bigger on them and use more fuel per distance. Repair costs cut right down. Hmm soon you will get Gold for 1 cr to sell at 9000. Love ED but listening to whiners sure is a good way to turn Elite Dangerous into Elite Harmless.

It's got more to do with the fact that progression beyond the Asp was virtually impossible for combat and mining oriented pilots. There was no incentive beyond player desire to use an Asp when a kitted out Cobra was good enough and way cheaper to operate, and anything past that was almost impossible to actually get. It has nothing to do with "dumbing down" - not everybody is interested in space trucking, and other career paths should be viable as well.

I don't agree ... I think they should increase the credit earning for other career path to increase over skill levels or better modules and not make other stuff cheaper and dumb

them down to fit the price balancing.

I sign in to also say ...

The planets now glow too much they look like cotton balls in space. I reckon frontier should place a

nearby dscanned celestial object filter on the hud where pilots can turn on or off on the ship function

. Rather than to give the planet a fake glow.

I don't think I agree with the changes to fuel cost. It should cost more in fuel to move more mass the same distance - each tonne of fuel contains the same potential energy, whether it's in an Eagle or an Anaconda.

If you need to move mass X over Y distance, you need Z fuel. If mass goes up, so does fuel requirement.

Since a Sidewider with 4T is less mass than an Type 9 with 100T (or whatever) it's logical that the Type 9 should have a higher fuel cost for Y distance vs the Sidewinder.

Ugh another update..another 150kb/s download.... please get read of those stupid cloud servers!

Single change to fix a crash in 1.2 and it's showing 8h to download..getting sick of this.

Check your hull integrity then let me know if its a good ship. 0% hull integrity is 2.3 mill repair, almost more than rebuy price on fully kitted asp

That 0% hull integrity is abit extreme :)

Before the patch I bumped to a station wall and that cost me 10,000 cr. And that was like 1% of damage. That is where I compare my repair cost, not 0% of ship integrity.

My friend and I are both getting a major issue where no matter what no NPC ships have bounties on them even after they attack. and if we kill them we still don't get any bounties. It completely makes bounty hunting not an option for us.

THis isn't eve man, there's no skills. just take it as it is. not all of us want to spend 24 hours a day on an endless grind

I agree but let's break this down logically. The Type 9 should require more tonnage of fuel per unit distance, but the cost per ton of fuel should be invariant.

Also the price of fuel can be calculated and reduced for larger ships if fuel efficiency was introduced based on the class of the engine i.e. You've paid for A6 which is more fuel efficient than A5 or B6 and consumes less fuel so the refuel cost is less for the same tank size. I don't agree with the fuel price change, it's simply not realistic.

Anyone else having really long loading times in hyperspace? It takes like 40s tops sometimes to jump from one system to another, everything was ok yesterday since it usually takes like 15 seconds in hyperspace
YES!
It is driving me crazy!
Please fix this.
I thought the game had hanged the first time i had a 1+minute hyperjump, was about to post a bug report. Then i dropped out. Heh. This came with 1.2.

The reason for the slow downloads is FD's update server is getting hammered by everyone downloading at the same time. There's only so much bandwidth. It's a shame it can't be unlimited bandwidth, but that's never going to happen for just a game.
That's what CDNs are for. (Content Distribution Network. Akamai, Limelight, etc. You want to deliver 500Gbps of content around the globe? No problem, you pay by the GB delivered.)

I confirm the observation about scooping taking place further from suns; I get into scooping range sooner, it seems, and I can max out the scoop intake rate without the heat on my A-rated T6 getting above 75%.

Has anyone else noticed smoke coming from the dashboard at heat levels in the upper 70% to lower 80% range? Post-1.2 I often get dashboard smoke when jumping after scooping, even though the heat level never climbs above 85%.

That's happening because FD changed the way heat is displayed. Now your heat level will more accurately reflect how much work your heat sinks have. Your heat level can't actually rise above 100% anymore. Instead, your ship will start taking damage around 75% heat.
