Small but significant update, great job! Cheers!

I don't see any credit being dished out for past exploration data. That should really irritate explorers who raced home to sell their exploration data, some even cutting their journeys short, in order to survive the increased threat of piracy and griefing associated with the "Wings" update.

Meh, c'mon! Stuff changes.

What about general increase in mission payout?

While I like bounties, combat bonds and exploring and the increase profit will help there is still almost zero reason to take any mission when most are paying out anywhere from 800 Cr to 15,000 Cr.

The missions need their payout rescaled. Even the slave ones pay out just around 50,000 Cr which just isn't worth it at times.

But any plans on making Smuggling a real profession with some buffs? Currently smuggling full time is like being a trader who averages 200cr a ton.

I'm hoping the “powerplay” name of 1.3 hints at better power management (and, by extension, stealth) mechanics, which would help make smuggling a bit more than “fly in really fast (or sell at an outpost)” and justify increased rewards for it. I do agree that smuggling illegal stuff for which there is demand (e.g., narcotics) should be considerably more profitable than legal trading, but it would also come with a proportionately increased risk.

Seems like very important work done to get roles on par (they are still pretty different) . Hopefully it will make people more at ease and they will feel less forced to do something they don't like.

Like the 'more money for exploration'...Im 6 jumps away from landing at a station back in civilisation again, though curious that iv yet to encounter any NPCs. The extra money will be well earned from my short 4000ly trip. Can't wait to get that data sold.

...
- Increased earnings from bounties
- Increased earnings from combat bonds
- Increased earnings from selling exploration data
...
Server side Changes:

- Decreased purchase costs of Vulture, FerDeLance and Federal Dropship
- Credited all Commanders who currently own a Vulture, FerDeLance or Dropship with the difference in prices for the ships and armour.
Rats...no extra changes to Piracy/Smuggling, here is hoping that's what 1.3 will include.

- We always recommend Commanders carry enough credits to cover insurance costs, but if the worst does happen, maximum available debt levels have been increased to 600,000 credits. Fly safe, Commanders.

At first this looked like a bad thing. "Hey Elite, you are already too easy, why make it easier?" But really this only effects players in the smaller ships earlier who make dumb mistakes. I really think it's more important that the difficulty come from the dangers in space, not the risk of losing it all. I'd rather the game be so hard I lose my ship a little more often, than have it be too easy but a death can almost kill my career. This doesn't really effect Commanders who were more careful with insurance anyways and doesn't seem high enough to be exploited. Plus I think this is more to support taking more combat risks.

Activating Casualisation Ray, please evacuate all non-necessary personnel.

Get over yourself mate. Going A to B, farming credits for hours on end on super safe trade routes, and being able to withstand the dull monotony of it for longer than other people, does not make you 'hardcore'.

The changes look awesome can't wait to test them out. Well done for taking this step towards making the game fun for all!

+1. Have some rep.

- Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezhra now always stocks all ships and modules

Does this mean we can buy the Clipper and Dropship without ranks or just that we get a discount or that they are still not available there. Last time I went there all the ships except those two were for sale, did something change?
