Spent all evening on this new update with my friend.
He bought a vulture and earn 6 000 000 CR in one evening by hunting bounties.
This update is very good, and we were waiting for it.
But 6m in one evening with a vulture bought 5m, I think it's a bit too much.
Bounty hunters were clearly disaventaged. But now we can make as money as a mechant who has the unique goal to make money when the hunter wants have fun, gain reputation, become elite, and earn money.
So maybe there is a right middle to find?
Thanks for reading
I agree with this too. Just bought a Vulture (price seems right for a dedicated fighter after I found out it fits in a small landing pad...) and made waaay too much money bounty hunting. Got several ASP's which were absolutely no trouble to take down each worth 150k, what you would get before for an Anaconda...
I always saw bounty hunting as a low profit and high risk job. Always short on cash, with a small and dedicated ship and always in some sort of adventure. When I watch Isinona's videos, that's exactly how I envision the life of a bounty hunter... I'm ok with bounty rewards having been raised, but not to this level.
You can now make almost just as much money bounty hunting than trading. But trading is a horribly boring thing, and it takes tons of grinding, which is a very big downside in itself. At least now on the starting levels, for a new Cmdr it's not worth to trade anymore, as you can make much more money and a lot faster by bounty hunting. I really mean it. One single morning of bounty hunting on a Sidewinder can take you straight to a Viper or Cobra... This breaks progression in my opinion. And for bounty hunting, you're all set with a Cobra or Viper. The Vulture is for me the top bounty hunter ship, but going over it and you're using the wrong tools. The FDL is the ship for the rich kid of the block, and anything bigger and you'll have trouble chasing your targets and (should) have too high maintenance costs. Which brings me to repair costs, but I'll leave this to another discussion (badly damaged 400T Anaconda with repair bill of 18k?

).
Anyway, I do hope they rebalance a bit again. The game just got stupidly easy, and the difficulty was one of my main atractors for this game. The other one the feeling of owning a space ship, and these things should be expensive to maintain, or else you feel as if you were flying a bike...
