[WIP] The Elite Ship One Glance Reference

Didn't finish reading the list, but I don't recall the imperial eagle being first imperial ship in the game, that was the clipper. Perhaps you meant first imperial ship available to low ranked commanders?

Edit: also anytime you list something like "fastest unengineered ship in the game" it might be worth noting if that's with a combat build or a racer. Not sure but pretty sure a combat iEagle is faster than a combat Viper (though of course this depends on your combat build and likely to vary)

Still good initiative.

When I said first imperial ship, I meant on the lineup of imperial ships.
I make it clear when it's a combat build by saying "combat build."

Still, good points.;-)

Directly related to its speed, + Imperial Cutter is fastest ship by a huge margin to support a fighter bay.

+ Federal Corvette - Supports Quad SCB Banking (7+7+6+6) without heat issue.

Without heat issue? Are you sure? You mean with a heatsink at the same time?

I was playing around with coriolis.edcd.io, sorting by various column headings. Anyway, I spotted a couple of your numbers that seemed to be wrong.

Viper unengineered non-boost speed = 320 (not 512)

T10 base hull = 1200 (not 1044)

There may well be others. Perhaps coriolis is wrong?

The Viper speed 512 uses those special enhanced thrusters available at Maia and Deciat.
The T-10 1044 I mentioned is Hull’s armour, not weight. I believe these to be correct.

Dropship:

- Highest achievable integrity for medium ships: 3920. (Python can get up to 3900 so 2nd place.)
- 2nd best medium multipurpose ship after Python, and much cheaper to A-grade.
- Best "Tokyo Drift" ship in the game! :)

THX....

I noticed that the DS and Python both have 9 internals, the maximum of any medium ships...

coolio, added!

Thanks!

They do have nine each, but don't forget FDS has two of them reserved so I think Python is the winner there, more options.

Jaysus. Is that more than the Cobra MKIV...?

Could you supply a Coriolis or Shipyard link?

It has a smaller landing profile than an Eagle?

How do you know about System Authority priorities?

It's actually 2195, if you use military grade composite and pack it to the gills with HRPs (this is before engineering). A similar fit Cobra Mk.IV has 2640, but the viper will easily outrun it (295/372 m/s vs 210/315 m/s) and it's also slightly more agile. Also, the viper's armour only weighs 9t, vs the cobra's 27t. The Viper Mk.IV is Elite's best small light tank.

I'm confused, how are both the Viper III and the Cobra III the fasted un-engineered ships in the game? Based on the numbers below, the Viii is the fastest (un-engineered) ship, bar none.

Viper
+ Fastest unengineered non-boost speed in the game. (512 m/s)

Cobra Mk III
+ Fastest unengineered ship with regular thrusters (Cruise 325m/s ~ Boost 464m/s) -- Stinja.

If you're planning on best/fastest per grade of vanilla module, it's going to be one hell of a long list.
