With the introduction of custom tagging can we get everything into 1 building tab now?

Pretty much title.

I'm probably a minority here in that I build pretty massive parks so my performance is usually slower than average, but the processing time it takes to switch between the building and scenery tabs seem to be getting worse and worse, especially when needing to switch regularly and often in one project. It's not a massive problem to have to continually keep switching but it is an inconvenience.

I'd like to see these lists homogenised into one at some point seeing as as time as gone on, the distinction that was once there that split them is getting blurrier and blurrier and the inconsistencies get messier with every patch. Some objects in the buildings tab should by logic be in scenery, and vice verca - to me at least there isn't much of a difference between the two anymore beyond that the building tab exclusively only has the gridded objects.

I think i would actually prefer this as well. The difference between scenery and buildings is very small. Especially now that we have so many items i use the search function a lot. And lot's of times i end up searching in the wrong tab and have to do the same thing again in the other tab. So yes, i think this is a +1 from me.

Might be mistaken, I'm not behind my home computer right now, but I noticed that the lights section in both buildings and scenery contained all the lights in the game. Or have I been dreaming?

i am so much in favor of having different game states to gain max performance when working on buildings or rides. isn't it possible to auto-pause the game when starting any kind of editing, and when in that mode, serve the user with an ultra-comfortable AI. And when going back to play mode, maybe add one pass to transform underlying data if the cobra engine asks for a more flyweight representation of the datamodel. i assume thats pretty much the reason, why the object browser is blown up with so many objects which are so similar to each other that they could have better been grouped into a single object with some more property options.

We could have different grouping of objects, like A-Z fireworks or building styles. Instead of having one instance ("A", "B", ... "Z" / "stone wall", "stucco wall", "wood wall" / "4 meter", "2 meter") for each single object insinde custom building/scenery browser - which makes selection lists larger than necessary - we could have one instance like "wall" with setting properties like "textures" (stone, stucco, wood, stone), "size" (4m, 2m, 1m) or "firework chars" with properties like a dropdown list with letters and a dropdown list with special chars and numbers to define what its representation should look like.

The selection browser would at least gain a lot of comfort when it comes to picking and replacing. Imagine selecting all wall parts of your building, go to the settings and chose a different texture to change the entire look with just some few clicks?

You are absolutely correct. I had not noticed this yet. This is great and it does make selections way easier than jumping between the building tab and the scenery tab.

Luuknoord- there are now multiple items across both strands. Unfortunately I find this more confusing than anything and, personally, I like having the two tabs. If you blend into one, you’d end up having a scroll bar on the left to select the sub categories.

That said, the new tagging system is so much better. Being able to just search “vintage” and have all items within that is a dream.

For me I’d like the search bar to supersede the two tabs and show all items available under that term.
