Well, what a coincidence. I just updated the original post with a new version, including the variant with a white background.
As much as I would like to include the capital ships, they are far too big for the scale of the chart. I would have to scale down all the other ships and the cap ships still would completely dominate the picture, reducing the rest to tiny specks. And adding side and front views would take up a lot of the already precious remaining space.

Hmmm, if you had the time and the drive maybe you could create a secondary mega-chart for capitals, stations, outposts, surface bases and anything of that nature... Not sure how you'd scale it but that could be fun...

It definitely will. At the moment, I can't promise that the new chart will be out in time for the final release of 2.2, though, since real life obligations take a lot of my time. I do have the necessary screenshots already, though.
