Freelancer was an unmitigated disaster right up until the moment Chris got escorted out of the building and told not to come back.
Same will happen with Star Citizen, though I fear it's way past the point of no return. Everyone except the most die-hard fanboys are just sat waiting for the inevitable collapse.
Which is sad, because with the right people at the helm, the resources in both cash and dev talent they've had, SC could have been something special and groundbreaking.
But while ever Chris wants to rant and rave for a few days at someone in the art department because the creases on a leather flying jacket are the wrong shade of brown, and everything should immediately halt until this is fixed, instead of actually concentrating on the important things of building such a huge game, the slippery slope was first stepped upon a long long time ago.
