Has anyone cracked the firmware or anything to make the mouse hat on the x52 a mappable button? I wanted to use it for precise thruster control in elite dangerous.
I got this to work after much fiddling around. I tested for a bit and immediately went back to using the throttle hat.

You can change the function to a 2-axis input from the SST software, but yeah I dunno how good it would be. As a Riftless peasant I just use it for rough head look which its ok for.

Did you set it to an active profile, and re-bind it in-game?
I should have said throttle mouse stick!
That is why I ended up having to use Autohotkey - and then realised it wasn't worth the bother![]()
I dunno though, If the mouse nub could work as an axis it could be very useful for parking when you want small thrusts. For those of us that enjoy making landings as smooth as possible =]
