I have managed to get a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X to work with Xbox One using a Cronusmax device. I have a Cronusmax due to some games not having southpaw controls and I wondered if I could use it get this working and I did. I've put a link to a short YouTube video that overviews how I got it done. There are links in the video description for how I set up the flight stick (a PDF) and the actual layout file for the Cronusmax device. There's another device that can do this too called a Titan One but I don't have any experience with it. I don't advocate using these devices for anything but better accessibility.
My thoughts? It's very cool to use but I'm much more precise with the controller. Of course, I have thousands and thousands of hours using an Xbox controller so that is not unexpected. I'm getting better each time I use it and really feel like it's a more immersive game when I do use it. I think I can still tweak some dead zones and controls to make it even better but it works pretty well now. It was a daunting task setting up the Cronusmax so if anyone needs some advice or help getting it running, let me know. I spent so long doing it that I can probably give you some pointers if needed.
