Been playing for 2 months, mainly trading but I am competent, after 220 kills, and I now have 480 kills, so am expecting to rank up soon. I am a Broker in trading with 60 million profit and just a scout in exploration.
I saw that FD where going to release the new federal ship and I wanted to try it so I looked at Yokai's guide and decided to increase my federation standing in preparation of the new ship release. I also took note of the community goal in Yembo and decided to use that as a start point with Brani as the supplier of metals for the project.
Brani is a system I was already trading in and after increasing my Federal rank after Sol I struck out on more advancement missions, The last 2 I had where the kill missions to get me to Chief Petty Officer. So I filled up on Palladium last week and went to Yembo and signed up to do the community goal.
The next thing was to increase minor faction rep in Yembo, but also in Brani at Akiyama market and Barsanti enterprise as neither of these stations are green yet. This list is what my rep was 6 days ago, it is still the same today!

Brani Blue Syndicate Independent Neutral 15 missions

The blue arrows only increased 1 reputation bar by about 5% in the 6 days I have been doing this, even though after every hand in the results of my help produced blue arrows every time. The station in Yembo is now friendly after the trading but the 20 or so missions done don't seem to increase rep anywhere.
Seems like a waste of time but others have progressed in their ranking so I must be making a basic mistake somewhere, maybe I need to get the extra 40/50 kills to increase my combat rank before I see any reputation changes, or perhaps it will allow the next rank progression to pop up. Incidentally I have had 1-4 unacceptable missions to go to PLX 695, because I already have the permit.
Any thoughts on the reputations not moving at all? I mean almost 200 missions in 4 stations and only 1 faction had a slight increase in rep and I was alredy allied with them anyway.
