There's a noticeable difference between the english spoken by Americans, British and Australians with a sizable difference in dialect and vocabulary. It's not making anyone seem clever to pretend there isn't

There is a noticable difference in English spoken in the UK when only 100 miles or so apart!

Last i checked there was only 1 English language. Pretty sure there is no "French English", "German English" or "Japanese English"
