There are many like it, but this one is mine.

also known as the "Nyx" Very heavy fighter from a Freelancer mod called Discovery.

It has about the same meaning to me and my men as an M16 to the US.

SciFi: Shadow Battlecrab from Babylon 5. A living ship that will hunt you down across the galaxy. What's not to like?

In Sci-fi, even harder but because I don't think anyone else has mentioned it:

The Brunhilde.

Favourite in-game must be the Cobra, as it is the traditional ship.

Favourite in sci-fi overall… as a “character” and living space definitely Serenity, but as an example of cool design and childhood faves, X-Wings and Tie Interceptors.

I also like the Federal dropship, and also the Imperial clipper.

Generally I like the designs, but I have to say that I thing that the big ships, Python, and Anacondas, are nowhere near as big as expected and the python is completely wrong it looks nothing like it should.

The Cobra is awsome... They got that one just right, they should have kept the viper with a pointy nose... the new one does not look like a Viper should.

I can't wait to see more imperial ships, like the Imperial Explorer.

Oh and the Thargoids, I'm just dying to go bug hunting again........

The new Viper looks like the Harrier from FFE, though that one was roughly between Cobra and Asp in size.

...but I have fond memories of this one from 1999's X-Wing Alliance:

It's a TIE Defender.

scifi: A-wing from Star Wars. I love agile ships and it was so much fun to take out star destroyers or dozens of tie fighters with it in x-wing alliance without being hit by a single shot.

When I was young one of my favorite space crafts was "Pegasus" from old soviet toon. I used to draw it on backside of my school notebooks during some especially boring classes in a school.

Ingame, I can't decide between the eagle or the Python.
I am not usually fond of weird designs, but in sci-fi, the Odysseus from Ulysse 31 is hand down my dream ship. The design is gorgeous, I think.

My favourite in game (Soon) would have to be the Viper... such a sexy looking vessel and great at what it does. The Fer De Lance or the Vulture could replace it as my favourite, but I haven't seen anything concrete about how they'll look!

Then my favourite fictional ship would have to be (There's a running theme here) The Viper! I'm talking the original here, not the version from the modern space opera, space soap remake...
