This is Viper MKII from the new BSG.

The new Viper looks like the Harrier from FFE, though that one was roughly between Cobra and Asp in size.

The Viper MKIII also reminds me of FFE's 'Spar Attack Fighter'.

In game? The Viper, for purely practical reasons.

In other media? Any spherical ship. As far as I am concerned, all non-atmospheric spacecraft should be spheres...most volume for a given surface area.

And though comes from a crap movie, I've always loved this little lady...

eta actually, thinking about it, My brother had a Dinky Thunderbird 2 with the Thunderbird 4 in the Pod and if i remember correctly, my Thunderbird 1 wasnt a Dinky but a cheap Plastic thing. Mind you the wings did fold in and out
